Arrival at hotel...nobody manning reception, sign says go to bar. Nobody running bar. In the end i had to go to the kitchen door and seek help from there. Staff are friendly but really more focused on the restaurant side of things. My room was large but had many frustrations: the kettle won't fit in the basin so impossible to...

Just had a shambolic mother's day at the Loch Fyne. All started well with a couple of decent Bloody Mary's, but after then it all went down hill. After we were seated we were told it would be an hour before our starters would arrive. When they did the squid was cold and the mussels were overcooked and cold. We...

Lunch out was lovely. Can't say the "shellfish" Thursday menu was all that, but we ordered from the standard menu and it was delicious. Oysters to start, smoked haddock scotch egg for starter. My husband had garlic prawns big and juicy. Mains for me seafood tagliatelle with plenty of seafood and fish & chips for. My husband....delicious!

I dined at Loch Fyne for a friends birthday, the overall experience and atmosphere was poor, the food quality was not to standard, I had the duck and it was served with cabbage and had no sauce and the presentation was not great. I would not come back again after this, unfortunately

Stayed here for 1 night back in July for the Henley festival. Room was small with an internal view, small bathroom but for £70 for the night with breakfast and free parking perfectly OK for our needs. Breakfast was very nice with good service. Small car park at the rear which you need to navigate through the Waitrose car park...

Oh dear - unimpressive comedy room - very cramped with a bathroom open at both ends with no doors and an extractor that didn't work! All a little shoe-horned in to create a double. Staff were very accommodating at check in and at breakfast although the advertised buffet had no pastries or croissants (this seemed odd as the market literally...

The four of stayed here to go to the theatre. The rooms we had were more shabby than chic, but they were very clean. Our room had the most bizarre bathroom, up seven steep stairs to it and a wonderful fireplace. There were other interesting fireplaces around the hotel. The thing that really let down this town centre hotel was...

We had a lovely meal with interesting side dishes on a Friday night- wasn't very busy- staff were friendly and attentive. A range of dishes to suit all needs and tastes- tables spaced well so not on top of each other. Would recommend.

Loch Fyne is deteriorating rapidly, service slow, food luke warm or poor quality. Have been dining in Loch Fyne for several years, and its now not worth going to and if with friends or family, total embarrassment..............Never again
