So the location is good, the hotel has charm (parking better at the Old Bank) and one has to love the little touches like the fire in the reception/bar and the library now on the 1st floor. Thankfully suitcases are brought up for guests as there are many little ups and downs to most rooms. The rooms are of good...

Thank you for taking the time to review us. Very pleased to hear you enjoyed your return visit. I am sorry I did not immediately recognise you upon arrival. It has been quite a while since we last met. Your room was booked online, providing a different address and a temporary email address, so we did not make the connection...

This is a lovely hotel set in a beautiful 17th Century old inn near the center of Oxford. There are so many lovely extras with this hotel. They provide bikes free for staying guests-a good way to see Oxford. They also offer a free guided tour of Oxford led by their resident historian every day. Guests can relax and imbibe...

I booked this trip for my husband and I as a last minute on the day getaway. What an absolute gem this hotel is! I had originally booked the Macdonald Randolph Hotel but after reading the reviews, I stumbled across the Old Parsonage and without hesitation, cancelled the Randolph. I rang up the hotel and mentioned we would be in...

Stayed here for one night. It is a very comfortable hotel with good decor and welcome. It is the most expensive hotel in Oxford and our expectations were high. The room was on the top floor (45 steps from car park to room) which would be quite difficult for the elderly. Toiletries included and so were slippers and bath robes...

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. You make mention of many of the luxuries the Old Parsonage provides and I am pleased you appreciated these. Add to your list free car parking, high speed Wi-Fi, complimentary newspapers, unlimited use of hotel bicycles and exclusive use of our beautiful Residents' Library; there is value to the prices...

I stayed here for several days for business. It has an excellent location. It wasn't far from the Gloucester Green bus terminal, and several buses drop off/pick up right outside. There are a ton of restaurants and shopping locations within walking distance. My colleagues and I always had a plethora of options for dining. The hotel itself is beautiful. Truly....

Recently stayed here visiting my daughter at Oxford. Room was quite comfortable with a great bed. Booked a suite which had a nice linving area. Bathroom with open glass which was not my favorite but pretty. One thing to note no lifts and had to carry baggage up multiple stairs. Also quickest way to room was via dining area which...

Thank you for your comments. I am pleased you enjoyed your stay but am perturbed to hear you did not find staff friendly or accommodating; not something we are used to hearing. I am also disappointed to discover you had to carry your own luggage upstairs - this is a service we provide and we are happy to 'take the...

Just at the top of town away from the bustle, this hotel is small and fine. A roaring Log fire, cafe, bar and grill and lots of nice rooms. Not big in this original parsonage, but there are suites if you have the cash. All the usual in room supplies, except, weirdly, tea and coffee making facilities. However room service...

Thank you Anne-Louise. I greatly enjoyed reading your succinct appraisal of the Old Parsonage; one of those reviews which makes me want to book in for a night or two! You are correct - sitting out on the terrace in summer, gazing at the wisteria, appreciating the effects of a cool Oxford blonde; it's enough to reinvigorate the soul. I...

Absolutely nothing to fault at this cosy and stylish hotel. The location's perfect for sightseeing - a stone's throw from Oxford's main streets and its university. The reception area was so inviting - a roaring fire as we opened the door on a cold Feb day. We loved the library area for guests too. We received a free upgrade to...

We stayed at the Old Parsonage Hotel last night and am wondering what took us so long. This is our son's 4th year at Oxford and we have always coveted a visit here. We were always concerned it was a little too aloof for us. Could we have been further from the truth. It is incredibly welcoming, lovely people and...
