Stayed here for 2 nights to do a bit of sight seeing etc. From getting off the train which is only 200m away and to the very professional welcome from well dressed and very polite staff I was clearly happy so far! During check in we were given the usual brief on facilities etc, given a map of the local...

Stayed for just one night. Reception staff very helpful, looking after luggage before we could check in and after we checked out! Gave us a map of Oxford and helped out with directions. Rooms clean, warm, not huge but perfectly adequate for requirements. Bathroom was larger than expected and shower was powerful. Fresh fruit and biscuits in room with usual...

Super reception staff. Our family room was spacious, really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Loved the generous toiletries, tea/coffee, and the bowl of fruit! The hotel is super convenient for teh station and its an easy walk into the centre. The park and ride at Botley Road was great : £2 a day then £3 return on teh bus. MUCH cheaper...

Overall this was a nice hotel in a nice location close to the train station. It was easy to walk to all locations. Room was a little small but we were only staying for one night so it was ok. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Good value for the price.

The hotel is conveniently close to the railway station. The main restaurants, sights and shops are all within walking distance. It is a 3+ star hotel in my book. Spotlessly clean. Welcoming and helpful reception staff. The bathroom had been recently refurbished. Tea/coffee making facilities, with complimentary biscuits, fruit and bottled water. Free wi-fi in rooms. Individually controlled radiators. We...

Overall I was slightly disappointed with this hotel. £171 for bed and breakfast was quite steep compared with the hotel's standard and level of comfort. The bedroom was clean and tidy but a little basic. It had air-conditioning but sadly it didn't work well enough to cool the room. The hotel website promises parking for an extra fee but doesn't...

Being from the U.S. it is hard for me to judge how this place compares to other UK or European places. However I will say the staff was superb! Friendly, professional and always offering to assist. The room is spartan by US standards but it was spotless. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh apples and oranges, and cookies all complimentary. Small...

A collegue is staying here tomorrow, and I wanted to have a bottle of wine waiting. I waited too late for the shop to deliver, so the hotel staff are taking time out of their day to retrieve it for me from town, and are accepting no tip. I could not be more grateful, this was a very special favor.

We stayed at this for 4 nights. The people were nice and I must say the room was small but clean and the women who took care of the rooms kept it very nice. Still the room was too expensive for what you get. The breakfast is very restricted in choice and the waitresses doesn't aren't the best; they make...

I booked the Royal Oxford Hotel mainly because of its proximity to the station, and it is very close - you can see it as soon as you leave the station! The exterior isn't very promising, but as soon as you get into the hotel (through an entrance on the side), you are reassured. The rooms are comfortable, and the...
