a very pleasant hotel with a nicely appointed room and an excellent breakfast. A very warm welcome. Curtains would have been better than blinds, as the room was a little light, but it was an excellent location and good to have private parking.

We only stayed one night, but found a very welcoming and friendly reception here on our first visit to Oxford. A very clean and modern communal area, where breakfast is served, and was found to be delicious our only gripe was it finished a little early. Our room was on the ground floor, and again clean and modern but a...

This is a lovely hotel with everything you would expect. Breakfast was great, access to newspapers in a large open conservatory. The hotel is out of the town centre, maybe a 25 minute walk away, however there is a selection of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. This suited us fine for a weekend stay, however if you are popping into the...

This hotel comprises of two Victorian houses joined together, tastefully modernised and extended, retaining some of the original splendour of the property. Rooms, although ours was quite compact, was immaculate - clean, with crisp unmarked bedding and a bathroom to die for! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. All very welcoming and attentive and happy to accommodate your...

First impression - spotlessly clean. Second impression - friendly and efficient The decor is pleasant, our room was nicely furnished and there were plenty of lights and power switches which is often not the case these days. We slept very well due to the comfortable bed and had an extremely enjoyable breakfast. There is a frequent bus service into Oxford...

We stayed here for one night and were very happy with our decision to stay at the Galaxie. Very pleasant reception staff and the other staff were polite at all times. On arrival the guy at a Reception asked if we had any plans for our stay in Oxford and offered suggestions of where to visit. He hinted that a...

Went to Oxford last weekend and the Galaxie Hotel was lovely and great value for money. Excellent location and friendly staff. Only negative was breakfast finishing at 9am, would prefer it to run a little later. Rooms modern and clean.

Had an unexpected stopover in Oxford. Looked at trip advisor reviews and called a couple of Hotels late in the afternoon for immediate occupancy. This was a good choice. The initial call was answered by the receptionist, a very friendly and helpful lady. On arrival it is not a spectacular facade but once inside it is clear to see it...

We chose the Galaxie as it is well located for both travel into Oxford and Summertown pubs and Restaurants. My wife and I stayed for 2 nights and were warmly welcomed by the receptionist. Having arrived a little early to check in we were shown to the lounge area to wait for a short while. We were allocated room 302...
