Stayed for one night whilst on business. Situated just off the A34, ideal for the City centre or Blenheim Palace. The hotel had a bright and airy feel to the reception area. The room was quite dated and the bathroom likewise. Room was spotless. Had a shower in the morning and the shower head was split so water went everywhere. WiFi was good.
Staying in the holiday inn and never had a problem with them this particular hotel is terrible with staff attitude. As I work on the railway we work nights and getting in at 4-6 am on average. Starting at 6pm and waking up at 2pm on average we don’t have time to order the food as it apparently takes 3 hours to cook a burger and chips. Tried to order my food because they’ve left us a VERY professional note at reception telling us to order at the front desk. No one was to be seen for over 20 minutes. My first room has what looked like $h1t stains on the bed and the tv didn’t work. With lockdown and everything being closed it’s not like we can exactly go out and enjoy our few hours of our own day. The food was w4nk the day before too which didn’t start the week off good. Hall way stunk. Proper crap hotel.…
They are very under staffed despite filling the hotel with key workers. COVID restrictions mean that All meals are served in the room. Meals are booked with a time slot. But they turn up very late. Breakfast was late every morning and when it did arrive it was dried up. I feel sorry for the staff as they are trying their best. If management are happy to take so many bookings then they need to make sure they have the right number of staff to give the service that a 4 star hotel should give.
The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is a bit outside of Oxford but there's a park and ride next to the hotel and you can get to the center quickly by bus. Parking is free for hotel guests. The restaurant isn't that good one poor lady had to cover the reception and restaurant and understandable she had no chance to keep up with both so it took quite a while until we had our dinner. During the night it was quite noisy people in a room above or next to us were screaming and fighting and we could here everything which wasn't pleasant during the night. There's also a gym room, due to Covid you had to sign in the day before and had the room for yourself which was cool!
