We stayed for two nights, plenty of free parking space, check in was fast, our standard double room was spacious and clean on the ground floor overlooking fields with horses and geese, however we did have an issue with the water not draining away from the sink, which was reported and duly fixed. The wifi in the room would not...

We stayed on a weekend break purely because of the location, an easy 15 minute walk to the centre of Oxford and 10 minutes to The Folly where we were taking a river cruise and dining on the Saturday. The river walk to town is great and watching the University rowers practising quite an experience but watch out for the...

If your planning a trip to Oxford it is a good Idea to book a stay in a hotel .The traffic and parking in Oxford is awful and costly. This Hotel is set in grounds near the river Thames (where you can watch the students rowing and punting and the wildlife) and the town centre vital to looking around Oxfords...

Dear Jennifer M Thank you for your review. I agree the location of the hotel is great for exploring Oxford whilst being in a countryside setting set away from city hustle and bustle. We have had conversations with the police in regards to the issue with homeless people occasionally being on the river walk - although there have never been...

The room, the staff and all the facilities we used were excellent. 2 days visiting Oxford meant we didn't have time to sample any of the evening meals or the lunchtime bar menu, but the buffet breakfast was superb and plentiful. Unfortunately there wasn't,time to use the excellent looking spa. The next time we visit this hotel we intend to...

This hotel used to be shabby and old fashioned but today it's had a big refurbishment which is almost complete and looks really good. Contemporary and welcoming reception, bar and lounge, very nice bedrooms, mine had a balcony overlooking green fields and great restaurant this is now a winning hotel. On the river Thames with a ten minute walk into...

We stayed here for the weekend, Friday night to Sunday night to attend a Masonic Function hosted by the Junior Engineers Lodge. The service throughout the weekend was impeccable, the rooms (upgrade rooms) were superb and the food was excellent.

We stayed five nights in a superior room in April. The room was cosy and beautiful, newly refurbished with style. We had asked for a balcony which we got. If only the weather had been a little bit warmer it would have been really nice to watch the horses on the field almost in front of our balcony. Breakfast was...
