The manager, Nes, provides a very high standard of service and is busy providing local information, checking guests in and out and serving wonderful breakfasts with professionalism and courtesy in this 12-room establishment. Our room was excellent, with high quality bed linen, a very comfortable bed, a desk and casual chairs. The ensuite bathroom was modern, well provisioned and all...

Don't get me wrong, we had a pleasant stay at Burlington. The room was comfortable (if small) and the breakfast was nice. Having stayed at many B&B's and guest houses, I do not believe the Burlington deserves its rating. The host was welcoming but only after we had been told what we 'couldn't ' do....arrive after a certain time, contact...

Having stayed at The Randolph in October 2010 and left feeling that the hotel's 5 star rating is somewhat overrated, for our second trip to Oxford my partner and I wanted to stay somewhere that was comfortable, had free parking and offered good value for money. The reviews that I read about Burlington House raised my hopes of having found...

Have not stayed at this B&B for over six years and although the management has changed the quality of service and accommodation remains exemplary.

Ideally situated on the bus route into the city, this hotel cannot be faulted. A warm and genuine welcome, a room which could not have been cleaner, a bathroom which positively sparkled, a very comfortable bed and a superb breakfast.. And a very reasonable price. Look no further!

We stayed here with a 13 year old boy and adult daughter. We were visiting my daughter attending Oxford University. Our stay was very nice here. Just yards away from the bus stop that took you into town. Our Inn keeper Nes was very nice and welcoming and gracious and helpful and accommodating to our family. The breakfast was delicious,...

I traveled with my college age son who would be studying a semester at Oxford University, and stayed 4 nights at Burlington House. It is a very welcoming place with lots of character, very clean updated rooms, great bathrooms, and very comfortable mattresses. The breakfasts are delicious, cooked to order, with very good coffee. The location is very good for...

Booking a last minute get away break with my husband, it was very plesant to find a gem like Burlington House. While the rooms are perfectly acceptable, it is actually Nes who makes this place a joy to stay at. Service with a smile seems to be the motto here, nothing seems to be too much trouble. I would more...

Nes gave us a warm welcome on arrival and the place was outstanding. Perfectly situated for bus rides (or walk, we did and it took 25 mins) into the centre of Oxford, the hotel was perfect in every way. The guest house is in Summertown, so is 5 mins walk from Italian, Indian, Labanese and English food; or you can...

Three Japanese friends and myself recently stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful stay. We were warmly welcomed and given a useful explanation of the local area including restaurants, transportation and so on. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well appointed. The first night we walked to the nearby Summertown district for an evening meal and the second evening we...
