This is an average hotel, clean, functional, good wi-fi, no frills, no breakfast, no lift, as a last minute buy reasonably priced - but in a great location considerably cheaper than those hotels around it. Downside noisy at night if window open - no a/c.

On George Street, walking distance to the University (Magdalene St.) and close to lots of (Student oriented, of course) pubs and restaurants. Also shopping. No lift, so you have to lug your bags upstairs. Nearest parking is 25 Pounds for 24 hours. So: location wins; rest is so-so.

We stayed a Thursday night. Good location in the centre of the city and easy walk to everything. Main issue was tge noise. Throbbing up through the floor from the nightclub below until 3am and then the street noise continued. Hardly slept.

Really surprised this hotel has so many poor reviews as we've now stayed here twice with no complaints. The location is perfect for trips to the New Theatre - the hotel is directly opposite, in the middle of a high street with a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops. It's only a few minutes walk from the train station...

What a fabulous gem to find right in the heart of Oxford. Although there was a hiccup in our booking arrangements on the Friday night the lovely Jay soon sorted it out. Our room was very adequate for this short stay. Very clean throughout. Glad our room was at the back as I would imagine it can get very noisy...

After reading the reviews I must say I was dubious ...but what a pleasant surprise. my standard double room was spotless. ..looked like the room had been recently painted , the bathroom looked brand new ...sheets...bed all super plus flat screen TV. .. centrally located is an under statement. ..and right opposite Jamie's Italian. Staff polite and helpful Requested a...

I had to stay in Oxford for one night and it was the only hotel I could book within walking distance from the train station. The hotel is located near the centre with a number of shops, restaurants and places of interest within walking distance making the location very convenient! The hotel is rather small, I guess about 10 rooms...

Stayed there last night, the reception guy was really friendly, showed me to a small room with ensuite bathroom which had the necessary toiletries. Wifi was fine and pretty fast, the bed was basic sprung with very little cushioning, covers were thin i was cold at night although I didn't look for more blankets. The room was generally clean however...

If you want to find a cheap and good place to stay in Oxford, this is the place! The recepcionists were very friendly and helpful, that was the "very best". The room was not too big but was clean, tidy and had a very comfortable mattress. Is located in the city center and that helps a lot! In my opinion...

Awful. The hotel is next to a club with outdoor drinking and which doesn't close until 3-4am. No sleep and the room was grotty. Wouldn't recommend or stay again. The only positive is the location which is in central Oxford but this is not a big enough plus to stay.
