This was the second year running that my family and I have chosen to stay at the Richmond. It is a very unique and singular hotel, a world away from the impersonal corporate 'inns' in the UK. For those who are unfamiliar with Oxford, Jericho is probably the most characterful, warm and community-minded area in which to stay - full...

I stay at the Richmond any time I visit Oxford (I often attend Oxford University short courses). The hotel is just perfect for me - very reasonable price, very comfortable rooms, and a really convenient location. The area of Oxford where the Richmond is -Jericho - has great coffee bars, restaurants and shops and an enjoyable bohemian feel to it....

The hotel sits above an excellent Lebanese restaurant, which is certainly worth a visit. If you do stay for the morning, religious restrictions on pork rule-out your English breakfast, but you must try the eggs, and it was a refreshing change for us to have a breakfast of hummus, flat-bread, olives, feta-style cheese etc. There is cereal, toast, juice and...

Stayed there for one night. Will most definitely use again when I need to stay in Oxford. The hotels front of house was David,a veritable mine of useful knowledge about Oxford and its history. All of his recommendations were fantastic. The room was immaculate and quiet. The restaurant was outstanding for dinner and breakfast.Great value for money

In Oxfordshire, England, we were very lucky to be able to book 3 nights for an Oxford University graduation. While we wished we could have stayed the entire week, our late registration precluded us from that. The room, in addition to the convenient location to all activities and anything you might want to do in Oxford, was small but all...

It is good in overall as I cannot find the negative point about it. The internet is great which is free wi-fi with strong signal. The downstairs is the restaurant where they serve breakfast that is not too bad--the taste and decoration of the place. Overall, it is clean simple and cozy room for a short stay.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights with my teen daughter and have absolutely nothing to complain! The location is secure and convenient, the room was really nice and service impeccable. I strongly suggest choosing the Lebanese breakfast instead of the English one. Al-Shami restaurant downstairs is also much worth a visit. We'll definately stay here if ever go back...

We stayed here for two nights over Christmas in 2012, and enjoyed ourselves very much. Just one night this time, while visiting family in Jericho, but the same pleasant welcome, comfortable warm room, fluffy towels, and delicious Lebanese breakfast in the atmospheric Al Shami restaurant below.

I recently spent five nights in Oxford, UK, with my tourist hat on, and was fortunate to have The Richmond Hotel as my base of operations. It's a quirky gem, set in the quiet, residential Jericho district, a short 10 minute walk from the major tourist destinations and the bus station. It was a pleasure to see, every time I...

We stayed at the Richmond Hotel just for the one night and it was worth every penny. We arrived at the hotel at about 12:30. Since the check-in time is from 15:00 we thought we would just leave our luggage there and go for a walk in the city until our room is ready. However to our pleasant surprise, the...
