We stayed here as it is near the hospital we had to take our son to for treatment. The place looks as if it needs a good makeover, but it was very comfortable. We were told it is a listed building(s), so any possibility of renovation is limited. The only complaint was that the old fashioned timber box-frame windows (some...

Two opinions on this hotel, firstly it really needs a makeover it's very tired, wallpaper coming loose carpet joints splitting and the bathroom in our room had a walk in shower with no shelving for toiletries etc, it would have been better to have a shower cubicle and have shelves. One more point would be to have the corridor lighting...

I think the hotel is fine although as some have indicated somewhat dated - it also has a very sombre colour scheme - the staff are all in black and the rooms are black and grey and it does make it somewhat dour. The staff are very helpful - however I would say that for anyone advancing in years as...

We stayed here for 2 nights and would happily stay again. The staff were brilliant - really cheerful, friendly and helpful. My husband is disabled and we asked for an accessible room. It was ok for us but wouldn't suit a wheelchair user. The bed is a mattress on a wooden platform which has rather sharp corners. But the general...

Having read some reviews of this hotel, I was wondering if I was staying at the same hotel. I agree that it needs a little TLC but the rooms were immaculate, bathroom fine, not cold! As for the staff, what can I say absolutely fantastic. Jason is like a yoyo going out of his way to make your stay perfect,...

Arrived after our original hotel 5 miles away messed up our booking. Hotel decor is dated, the bathroom could have done with some ventilation, and there was a cotton-bud on the floor of the main room. Otherwise, room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a very good Yorkshire cooked breakfast and a very good pot of tea.

We have stayed at the sister hotel and can't believe this is the same company!! I will review this time.. this will be our final stay.. So if...

The room we had was nicely decorated - the wooden panelling on one wall complimented the purples and greys throughout the room. The room was clean, spacious and had all the amenities (kettle with fresh biscuits, tea/coffee, menus and information, clean towels, etc.). The bed was also very comfortable. And when we switched on the television, there was a personalised...

Stayed for two nights whilst a family member was in hospital, the reception area was modern and refreshing, the room however was very dark on entry as the curtains were drawn, once I opened them a freezing cold breeze was evident as I realised the cable for the TV had been routed through the open window across behind the wardrobe, the room...
