My partner and I spent 1 night at the hotel and don't have a bad word to say about the place. The room was clean and pretty modern with comfy beds. The staff were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us which always makes your stay pleasant. We would definitely stay again.

I have to give a good review to this place. It is not the Ritz true but if you want cheap clean accomodation then is OK. Stairs are steep but there is a good hand rail. I lost my hearing aids at this B & B. They went out of their way to find them, even emptying the hoover bag,...

Had a great one night stay with my son for the football at Hillsborough which is 300yrs up the road . They have very friendly staff always willing to help out and a great sense of humour . Room very clean and tidy only down fall the stairs to shared shower rooms are steep . Breakfast in the morning though...

Fully booked which tells It's own story really. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything one would expect from a budget b&b. Fabulous value for money. The hosts were very friendly and always on hand if needed. Breakfast was hearty and well cooked. We will definitely use the Alara again. PS: Thank you for the creme eggs......The hunt was...

Great value for money for room and tasty breakfast, the room was quite basic but nice, clean and the bed was very comfy, the staff were all really friendly and welcoming, even lending us their umbrella for our trip into Sheffield and they hid a creme egg for us both in the room as it was easter weekend! Tram stop...

Stayed here on 14th November with my mum for a girly shopping weekend and a concert. Left booking a hotel a bit last minute and this was one of few that were left at a reasonable price. First thoughts pulling up to the hotel were that it looked a bit shabby, but these thoughts soon disappeared. The lady that welcomed...

We stayed here for one night on the 31st October, the rooms were very clean and the staff were lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was nice and we were served very quickly. Good value for money. Would stay again if we were in the area! In a good area as it is close to different pubs and supermarkets.

I booked at short notice to break my journey up to Bradford for a golf weekend. The guy who showed me to my room was very helpful and welcoming. As others have said the stairs are rather steep and narrow but I managed to get safely up and down (with some care) with my golf clubs. The room was clean,...

I paid £110 for 2 nights here, as others have said the stairs are very steep with very narrow steeps, I only had a small backpack with me if I had a case it would have been at best difficult at worst downright dangerous tacking it up and down the stairs. I was lucky to get into the "car park"...

My partner and I visited the Alara last night as we went to a social event at Hillsborough Stadium. I will start with the one and only positive...it was literally next door to the Stadium which is great if you want a place close by if wanting a place to stay before or after a match. We arrived about 7pm...
