I got exactly what I expected for the price - a room to sleep in and some warm food in the morning. The bed was fine, the room was small but sufficient for the purposes of sleeping, the shower surprisingly well cleaned for its state of repair, the staff very friendly, and the breakfast sufficient if not overly appealing. In...

First... the good. The owners are indeed super-friendly, flexible and helpful. The hotel is being upgraded so they are clearly investing. But beyond that, the only reason to stay here is location. The room was small, dated, not as clean as it could be and had very thin curtains which meant I woke at 5am with the sun streaming in...

Suspicious of this review as no evidence of guest staying. Factually incorrect and there are advertising issues in the review.

If you're looking for a cost effective place to stay while visiting the university, then this is a good choice. I stayed here during a trip to the university for a conference. It's a traditional british guest house and offers good value for the price. The family running it are friendly and helpful. The building itself is beautiful, although the...

Great value for money and located near to student areas. Easy walk into town. Room was large and comfortable and got a good night's sleep. The breakfast was also nice and the owners were friendly. For the price we paid I would recommend this B&B.

The welcome was warm and the house is attractive. Also very quiet which is a real plus. We were however shocked to find blankets on the bed and not a duvet. Not pleasant. We had read reviews abut the wonderful breakfast but can't say it was. Bacon dry and egg yolk solid. No choice at all. Pretty good value for...

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting someone in hospital (10 mins walk away). Owners very obliging and helpful, allowed us to leave our car here all day whilst we caught bus into city centre. Convenient, quiet location in all respects, for university, hospitals and city centre. Breakfast was very tasty and served promptly at our chosen time.Tiny shower room...

Mandy is a perfect host and cooks an excellent breakfast which is served promptly to suit you. The rooms are comfortable and all the beds are new. Restaurants in Broomhill and Crookes are close by so you can enjoy a drink and walk back. We stay at least once a week and have slept well on every occasion. The location...

Chosen for location AS close to the hospital. Rooms were comfortable and equipped with kettle. En suite in room small but adequate, shower powerful and hot. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Sitting room with TV available, useful for watching Wimbledon!

I can echo several other reviews about this property after our recent one night stay. It surely was a wonderful building at some point but is now definitely showing its age. The owners and the breakfast were very nice, and the location is convenient for the university. The garden in front is very well maintained and parking is available. We...

Stayed recently with my wife, and first impressions as you drive up are very good. Very friendly owners and a good clean place, with an excellent breakfast. The rooms however are rather dated and the en-suite in the double room we had was the smallest we have ever seen and also very dated and showing its age.Overall a clean and...

Thank you for your favourable comments featuring our clean friendly and excellent service which in the majority of reports is mentioned. Regarding the bathroom space it would have been possible to move you into another double en suite room on the particular night you stayed but disappointingly for us you have characterised the whole hotel based on one bathroom, there...
