4 of us had lunch last week and I must say it was really good. It took quite a while for other people to join in eating, making the atmosphere rather quiet in the dining room. We all had 3 courses and it was a good price for what we got. Beware thought the drinks bill was huge... 5 drinks...

Arrive on a Sunday afternoon, on our way onto the Meadowhall centre for a day of festive shopping on the Monday. The room was lovely, clean and plenty of space with a great view of the pond. My husband and I stayed here on 21 November and was upgraded to a luxury room which was lovely overlooking the pond. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Would recommend you visit this hotel.

Stayed thursday evening for the one night it is a grand old hotel with plenty of features and history our room was faultless and in the newer wing Was also very impressed with the evening meal and full breakfast.these were included in the half board and found the overal price of stay good value. staff were very helpful and friendly...

Had a lovely stay at this hotel Room was clean and very well presented. Staff all very friendly and approachable. Had no problems and would definitely return for another stay, highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!

Dissapointed - cannot believe that a venue which is accustomed to having two weddings on the same day cannot acomadate guests who are not staying over , weather was very wet /and very cold and after dinner whilst the tables and tablecloths were changed or rearranged for the evening disco ( small bar area taken up by staff coming and...

Lovely country house hotel but close to M1. Plenty of staff who are all very friendly and efficient. Great food. Open fires in lounge and bar. A four poster bed and view of the pond from our spaceous well appointed room.

This hotel is lovely, the setting even on a wintery November day is stunning. Set in beautiful grounds where peacocks roam, this is a great place to stay. Stayed for a family wedding,, what a perfect day we all had,, lovely staff, stunning building/ grounds and rooms :) just a shame our bed was broken! Reported straight away no one got back to us didn't realise wasn't changed until we went back to the room,, kids slept on z beds hubby slept on sofa,,, not a good night...

Had a lovely sunday lunch with friends , friendly staff showed us to our table , delicious food just perfect , will definitely recommend to friends and family and return soon for the christmas menu didnt stay over as we live locally but looked amazing
