We had a lovely 3 night stay in a beautiful and clean room overlooking the river. Both dinner and breakfast at the hotel were great and staff were friendly and welcoming. Parking was free but the car park was very busy, a tribute to how popular this inn is with locals. Overall the location of this hotel is first class, only about a few minutes walk into the centre of Ludlow. The outside bar was fantastic (converted horsebox, a brilliant idea) Covid safety measures were also very good, one-way system and sanitising stations. Very safe without detracting from the ambience of the Hotel. We dined in the restaurant on the first and last evenings, the food and service being outstanding on both occasions. On the last evening when our dessert was a long time coming, the manager told us we wouldn’t be charged, and we weren’t. We couldn’t fault the Charlton arms or the staff who were so attentive and professional. Are we going to return? Definitely.…
Stayed overnight. Our fifth visit over a number of years. As usual standards were maintained and a very enjoyable stay. Good sized comfortable room and a good night's sleep. Covid complaint and very warm welcome.
This is just a great hotel, right on the river with great views. The staff are all friendly, and welcoming .The town is a short walk ,the castle and church are well worth a visit. The local shops and pubs are all good. The Chalton must serve the best breakfast in Ludlow, and lunch and diner the same
We booked last minute and had their last room available, small twin. Not having paid overrated prices some Cornish BB charge we didn’t expect much. The room was a delight. Small but superbly furnished and spotless, overlooking the bridge and river Teme. The highlight of this place is their staff. Food in the restaurant was fabulous and it’s no wonder this restaurant is one of the top ones in Ludlow. Their staff couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome and comfortable, such credit to this gem of a hotel.
What a great experience. A perfect setting overlooking the River Teme, about a 6 minute walk from the town centre. Our room was great, the sleep quality excellent, the staff were top notch, our evening meal..... a traditional roast was perfect and breakfast was just right to set up the day. Thank you
