Popped in today (bank holiday Monday), good value pub grub. I had a really lovely fish, chips, peas and curry sauce. The batter was light and crispy. My wife had a great Gammon, Pineapple, Egg and chips. Quality simple pub food and reasonable value 👍

Did St George's Day 23.04.17. Welcoming, traditional - no T.V.; no juke-box; no fruit-machine. All geared to provide good home-made food, well-kept beer. Beer-garden, sun-deck. Surprisingly quiet, off the Frankwell A5 roundabout - a haven. Plenty of history displayed in the back corridor. Live music - heaps of local groups using it as their home-ground - SHREWSBURY SCRIBBLERS; FRANKWELL CRICKETERS;...

Our most recent visit to the Bucks Head was to meet family for drinks. It's a relaxing place to have a drink, and has an authentic traditional pub feel about it. The decor is probably in need of a bit of an update (the toilets still have those old plastic push top flush systems, but they're clean). The drinks served...

Great locals pub that welcomed new visitors. Very dog friendly with one of the most fantastic customer service I have ever come across in a pub. Staff were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Everything cam naturally to them.

A great place for a no nonsense meal,by comparison to other places the menu is quite small, but this keeps the quality high in my opinion. We have visited a few times and always had good service and excellent food. The interior is tired but you could call it charming. The food compensates for the interior and the welcome is...

Very friendly old-fashioned pub. Traditional pub bar, with a good selection of Real Ales My B&B room was very spacious, with a very good bathroom. Good breakfast, with excellent strong cafetiere coffee

As soon as we walked in we were made to feel so welcome. Our room was lovely and the food was excellent. The pub is in the throes of being done up, but it really is great. We will be going back again.

We stayed for 2 nights and must say it was not the most comfortable stay we have had. I prefer not to write a negative review but the Inn was not up to any standard. We were checked in by the bar staff and given a room which smelt like a fish and chip shop. We spoke to the bar...

We have heard many times how good the Sunday lunches are here, but hadn't been as you had to book, we booked for today and I'm happy to confirm that it is truly great. Really well cooked meal, includng stuffing, parsnip, lovely roasties. It comes with a nice bowl of mixed veg. We really enjoyed it and it's excellent value...
