Near the river and only a short walk from the town centre, very helpful couple running the place, great breakfast. Home from home, couldn't fault it really and partner enjoyed the trip despite it being a mixture of biz and pleasure. There's a living room for visitors's use with a piano in it. Don't tell Chas & Dave. Richard

You get the feel with this B&B that you’re very much a guest in someone’s house rather than just staying in a commercial enterprise. Most B&B owners live on the premises, but I suppose what makes this one different is that there is only one guest room and the house really has the feel of someone’s home rather than a...

Thank you for this review the content of which is noted. I couldn't understand the problem with hot water as we normally have a plentiful supply and wasn't aware of any difference on that week end, perhaps a comment after the first night would have enabled me to put it right. I will attempt to resolve the issue of the...

Unlike other reviewers, we found the whole experience of Pennington's disorganised and chaotic. The owners were out when we arrived at the agreed time, parking was extremely difficult, the room was cold, and breakfast was late - with a long delay for any requested hot drinks (required in order to attempt to get warm in the unheated dining area). There...

At Pennington's we pride ourselves on making sure we are here when people want to check in and to this end we establish this early in the booking process. (on this week-end we had had a 10.am. arrival for our annex room for guests attending a local wedding, and the reviewer who had requested a 4p.m. arrival) We accommodated both...

Unfortunately I only had the opportunity to stay one night at the Penningtons B&B, a situation that I intend to rectify in the future. This elegant house is ideally situated close enough to walk to the town of Shrewsbury without the problems of city centre accomodation. It location is picturesque with the accomodation facing onto the river behind. The room...

Our first "luxorius" bed & breakfast. I loved the antique character and furniture. I felt a little guilty for indulging myself with this pleasure place. Breakfast made to order. The landlord is very friendly and helpful.

A lovely b & b which seamlessly combines Victorian spaciousness and character with every mod con. The room overlooks the River Severn and is within earshot of the soothing sound of constant tumbling water. Add to this an easy, pleasant walk to the beautiful town of Shrewsbury and of course the wonderful hosts and you'll be hard pushed to find...

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding nearby and had a thoroughly lovely stay. As other reviewers have noted, nothing it's too much bother for Grant and Kate and this kindly and very helpful family are always on hand with advice / chat. We were presented with a delicious cake and traditional pot of tea upon arrival...

Our first experience of an English B & B excelled our expectations. We were greated warmly by Grant and Kate after our long flight. Their hospitality was first class. The outlook over the river is beautiful. We will defintely recommend this as a 'must stay' in Shrewsbury. Paul & Jan - Perth WA

Lovely room and Grant could not have been more friendly or helpful. Breakfast was also great and we loved the fruit salad. Only approx a 10 min walk into the town and a lovely view of the river from the room. Would highly recommend!
