Just an over night stay but it was very nice. Bathroom could've done with a bit of a refurb as floor wasn't great. DVD stuck in the TV's DVD player but apart from these couple of things it was very good. I didn't have breakfast as was leaving early but for £45 I thought it was good value and with... More

Stayed at Abbey Court Guest House,(directly opposite) and had evening meal. The meals well cooked and substantial, "has blackboard specials" and menu available. Deserts also. Staff very obliging, however hotel gets busy some nights. Very little delay in serving meals. Inexpensive place to eat and enjoy a quiet beer and wine.

Went to The Old Bell pub in Abbey Foregate, Shrewsbury on Wednesday evening , had a really tasty meal. Best mid-priced meal out in months. The bar staff were friendly and efficient, very clean and altogether a nice atmosphere. Pub was almost full which was a good sign for mid week. Look forward to going again soon. I expect B&B... As I had travelled back from Cambodia my husband treated me to this lovely pub. Bed and breakfast which was ideal for us to venture out around Shrewsbury visiting the local sites. The food was fabulous and offered food for myself who is wheat, gluten and dairy free Would definitely visit again

Lovely little pub and B&B, staff friendly and polite. Our room was comfortable with en suite shower room and tea making facilities. The pub is situated on the corner of a busy main road but didn't disturb us at all. The breakfast was served quickly and was very tasty, my only comment is that maybe it could be served a... More

Had a great time, my room was excellent, friendly bar staff, had a rump steak and it was beautiful, had minor problems but you can't doubt this place, everyone has faults but they were solved immediately. Everyone should try this place, it's worth going

Been many times and you're always made to feel welcome. Parking a bit tricky but small prive to pay. Great food and drink but the super friendly staff make the Old Bell well worth a visit or two....or three.

I really enjoyed my stay there, nicely decorated, very clean, room was bit small but for a single person it was fantastic along with en-suite bathroom, TV and refreshments, I like the water in the bottle :). I stayed on a Tuesday and it was very busy in the evening, Not very noisy in the room even though the pub... More
