A nice quaint old building. Nice change from the usual franchises. Great central location & free but limited parking. Big ventilation units outside 2nd floor which was a little noisy (and it was hot so I had the window open). Breakfast arrangements a little odd - or just not explained well - but food was very good. And a lovely...

Very recently stayed 5 nights at the hotel. We found it to be basic but clean and efficient. As we were without a car its location - close to bus and rail station - proved very convenient. Also just a short stroll to the lovely park, the river etc. The breakfast and other food is served in the bar. There...

Paid£128 for 2 night's in what must be the smallest double room in the UK, the restaurant had no cleared tables at lunchtime and not much better in the evening. A single staying person said he paid £39 for a large room on the Sunday night, I was very dissatisfied as we stayed for Ruby wedding anniversary it was meant...

Hi Many thanks for feedback regarding your recent stay at the Hotel. I too am disappointed that you did not have an enjoyable stay with us over the weekend. As you made your booking through an agent online you requested a standard double room the computer would have allocated the room straight into our Hotel system. I apologise for any...

Our room was small but very comfortable. The tea and coffee etc. was replenished daily. Nice touches such as bottled water and biscuits all added to the feeling of care. Ideally placed forcealikong around the town. The pub was less good, poor choice of real ale and very dark. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel though, just find somewhere else...

Cheapest digs in Shrewsbury centre and far better than other hotels in the town that I have used. Room was clean and spacious. Massive bed. Reception helpful. Free parking on front. Usual weatherspoons pub fare available downstairs. If I was being picky I would say you could do with more sockets in the room.. and maybe a socket by the...

Friendly people (we were checked-in by a very pleasant bar staff member until the night manager arrived to help) and the room was clean and contained all one might expect in perfect working order. Great location too, right by the riverside. Only downer was the rather tired-looking dining area that seemed more like a place for a drinking session than...

Stayed here for only one night but could have stayed more. Nice large and clean room the only problem was the curtain in the shower over the bath. The bath was quite narrow and the curtain that covered the window and the other curtain on other side of bath did not leave much room and kept blowing in on you...

Weatherspoons have go into the Hotel Game. This was a decent stay .. very central. Rooms was decent. Clean. And a fair size. Decent bathroom. Literally just across the road from the river. Free parking but the car park gets busy so try and get in there early and plot up. The spoons is a good option for a decent...

We spent one night in the hotel as a quick getaway. It was clean, comfortable and more than adequate for the extremely reasonable price. Having the pub below was handy for food and drinks yet we heard nothing once we'd gone to bed. Can recommend.
