We visit Shrewsbury frequently for lunch and fancied trying somewhere new. Happened upon this fabulous gem! Lovely, interesting, full of character, the food was absolutely superb and the staff very friendly. Think this will definitely become a regular haunt!

Shrewsbury great town for shopping and eating and no more so than the Golden Cross. Forget corporate image decor etc this place is a one off call it Sophisticated or Shabby Chic Homely, Elegant, Quirky, its all this and more, but thats only the start....More
Popped in here with my girlfriend on Tuesday. Ordered fish and chips. The fish was small considering the price. The chips were clearly not cooked twice as stated on the menu. Finally the pea purée was dreadful. Sorry but I won’t be going here again.
