We decided to stay here for three nights over the New Year after reading lots of positive reviews. At the time of booking we thought the price was a little steep but we were happy to pay as we were looking for something a bit special. We were sorely disappointed. The only good points were the location and that we...

We came to stay in Bath 3 days before Christmas as we'd just got married. The Halycon was everything we could've dreamed of for our mini honeymoon. The staff were extremely helpful and even left us a 'congratulation' card in our room which was a lovely touch. Their knowledge of Bath was superb and helped us plan our two days...

I stayed here with my girlfriend for a New Years break and had a pleasant stay. We paid £75 GBP for a standard double room. Due to the nature of the building the rooms are small but well equipped. The bed was comfy and we both had a great night's sleep. The room was a nice temperature and we weren't...

I, like most Trip Advisor writers and readers check the reviews on most places before booking anything. I travel the UK often and have to say that this is my first big disappointment. I read the reviews and was really looking for a nice experience, what I got was far from that, maybe I expected too much after reading all...

My boyfriend and I have just returned from an excellent night at The Halcyon. We were attracted to the hotel as it seemed modern and stylish. When we arrived we couldn't believe how good the location was! We risked driving and managed to get a space in the car park opposite the hotel after a few minutes of waiting. Check...

Second visit to the hotel, it really is a little gem. The location is excellent, a 5 minute walk from the station and so central. We returned to visit the Bath Christmas markets and no issue that we wouldn't return to the hotel. I contacted the hotel about our return visit, they sorted out a discounted rate and a larger...

We travelled down to Bath to visit the Christmas Market and at the eleventh hour decided to stay overnight. We had found this hotel on the internet, phoned up at approx 3.30pm, booked a room and arrived at 4pm! The receptionist, Emily, who took our call and greeted us on arrival could not have been better; helpful, welcoming, courteous all...

I was not going to write this review as we were not eventually charged for our stay at the Halcyon. However, having read the reviews below I feel it is important to do so. We booked a standard plus room several months ago and after the booking we were told that there were no rooms available so we had been...

Went to Bath for the Christmas market stayed overnight at the Halcyon. Perfect location and very friendly and comfortable. Room was a little on the small side and there was no restaurant for dinner but we were recommended to go to the Porter and it was fabulous.
