Hotel's Favourite
I cannot recommend Dukes enough. It's a truly beautiful hotel with a lovely sense of calm and a really personal feel - like staying in a grand house rather than a hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and discreet - offering as much help and information as i needed while also giving me space. I stayed in the Grafton room which was up four flights of stairs. I arrived early and dropped off my case, and when i checked-in, it had been carried up to my room and was waiting for me. COVID measures were in place with staggered breakfast sittings planned on arrival and masks worn in communal areas. Breakfast was as good as they say - lots of options and absolutely delicious. I loved my stay at Dukes and felt totally relaxed there. I would definitely return again.

Room Tip: The Grafton on the 2nd floor overlooks the side street + is very quiet. It has a shower cubicle...

Very pleased that you found us an oasis of calm!! We have always wanted Dukes to feel a little like a country house in the city. As you note we reside within two Georgian townhouse without the modern intrusion of a lift! Where possible we will assist guests though with the current measures some are a little restricted. Very pleased that you enjoyed breakfast, we take great pride in our smoked haddock sourced from Paignton and our award winning Stornoway sourced from the Isle of Lewis of the West Coast of Scotland. All prepared with care and cooked to order. Many thanks.

We stayed at Dukes for three nights at the end of July. Dukes sits on one of the grandest and most architecturally stunning streets in Bath and is an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of Bath. The COVID measures the hotel have introduced ensure a safe stay. We stayed in the Grafton, a pretty, bright room on the second floor. The room was spotlessly clean and included everything you would expect. It was quiet at night, although, as expected in an old building, the floorboards do creak! The bathroom was small but this is made clear on Dukes website. Breakfast was excellent - there were a range of hot and cold options offered and the food was of good quality. I think what sets Dukes apart from other hotels is their staff. From the moment we arrived at Dukes every member of staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, helpful and polite. Dukes is a great boutique hotel with bags of character and personality. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Dukes to others and stay again if we return to Bath in the future.

We were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful hotel a few weeks ago and couldn’t have been more impressed. I found the hotel on Booking.com but phoned them to ask a couple of questions and ended up booking directly. The service we received from this point on was exceptional. Extremely friendly and helpful with a really personal touch. We chose this hotel as it offered free parking, breakfast and is in a perfect location for Bath. It’s an absolutely stunning building with so much character and charm. There is a lovely outdoor drinks patio and the team there can’t do enough for you. They helped with restaurant recommendations, breakfast was delicious and we saw the manager speaking with all guests to check all was well. So pleased we chose this over the nearby chains hotels. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thank you all very much xxx
