We will always endeavor to offer our guests the best room available – so pleased that the upgrade was appreciated in recognition of your wife’s 40th. We are very proud of our breakfast - guests may serve themselves with cereal, freshly prepared fruit salad, pastries, yogurt, salami, cheese and fruit; we then offer a cooked to order breakfast and happily...

We visited for three nights for our wedding anniversary. It was so lovely to walk into a classical setting on one of Bath's finest streets. The rooms were beautifully presented right from reception to bedroom and staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had the option of a parking permit if we had needed it and advice on things to...

What a lovely review. As you note, we try very hard on our website and through the descriptions given by our reception team to present the rooms as they are. Dukes resides with two, Grade 1 listed, four storey Georgian townhouses – she is infact a rather faded old lady – rattling sash windows and creaking floorboards reflect the patina...

Great location and accommodation at Dukes. Welcoming staff who were happy to help with recommendations of good food restaurants/ pubs. Our room was lovely opposite reception and our park was outside the main entrance. Bed was so comfy. Breakfast excellent. Next time will stay for at least 4 nights. Note this was our cheapest hotel in the UK and great...

Delighted that you found our offer of ‘parking permit’, ‘excellent breakfast’ and a ‘lovely room’ ‘great value for money’. Particularly impressed to hear that we were the ‘cheapest hotel in the UK’ that you stayed in. Thank you for a lovely review and great that we were able to enhance your stay and help furnish you with happy memories.

Though our room was on the second floor, which meant a trek with a baby, our stay at the Dukes was nothing short of fabulous. The most friendly staff to always greet you , our every request was met with a smile. The breakfast was tasty, the staff patient with a young baby. The room was spacious and neat ,...

Thank you for the very positive recommendation. As you note we reside within two Grade 1 listed Georgian townhouses. This precludes the introduction of a lift. We offer rooms on each of the four floors and will happily assist with luggage. Our reception is open from early ‘til late – so give us a call and we will ensure you...

Having never visited Bath, we wanted to stay somewhere special, and we were NOT disappointed!! Dukes is an exceptional hotel, the rooms are huge, the service is impeccable and it is close to the centre for tourists. My wife and I stayed in one of the four poster bedrooms and the luxury of the suites is what one would expect...

My friend stayed here in a lovely suite; a four-poster bed, pretty sitting area and lovely bathroom. She had a problem with very noisy neighbours in the room above but it was put right swiftly and efficiently by the owner, who came to talk to us at breakfast the next morning. The room was discounted and the breakfast (very good,...

Thank you for the ‘highly recommended’ commendation. We were sorry to hear that your friend had been awoken by returning guests, to the room above at 11pm – as a gesture of goodwill we reduced the room charge and offered your breakfast with our compliments. I am pleased to read that you found our service and location to be ‘excellent’....

We booked this hotel for a three night stay during our wedding in Bath based solely on its top ranking on TripAdvisor, and can clearly see why it is so highly regarded. The building is beautiful inside and out, our deluxe room - The Beaufort - is perhaps better described as a spacious and lavishly decorated suite, and it is...
