Stayed at the Hilton Double Tree for a few nights with the family. Staff were friendly and attentive. But on entering the room once we were settled after a long journey we found the room wasn’t properly cleaned. We alerted the management who came to see the room and agreed it wasn’t up to standard. They offered us compensation for the room being unclean. I will say as a family we enjoyed our stay at the hotel the staff and location were great. However we are nearing a month and a half since our stay and no sign of any compensation. If contacted the booking agent and the Hilton Bath direct numerous times and between them they have not resolved the matter. For this reason is why my rating is such. To offer compensation and for me then having to chase it up and waste my valuable time to me says you don’t value me as a customer. It’s the principle don’t offer something if your not going to see it through.

Hotel's Favourite
Okay we are very picky since we travel a lot and we like to stay in 5 stars hotels. I booked this hotel online since I love to stay at the Hilton anywhere in the world if it’s in a good area and has a good review. This hotel by all means is one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed at in a small cities. The staff are amazing. The room was very clean and smelled so good. The breakfast was good. I literally went down 5 min before they closed the breakfast and they let me in and helped me get everything I want. When we arrived at the hotel our taxi driver took us from the back. It looks horrible from the back. The building looked old and the outdoor painting need a new one. We were scared to stay here but then we are stuck so we have to stay here right? We walked into the hotel and it was a different sorry. The hotel was nice from inside and so clean. The check in process was so smooth and easy. My room that I requested was under renovation so I got a different room. It was nice and clean. The front desk helped me with booking for the bath spa, and at short notice they helped me find a gluten free dairy free cake for my daughter’s 21st early celebration. Like they went above and beyond to help me in anyway I want help. Would I stay at this hotel again YES I will and would. And u r literally 10 min walk to the Roman bath, 5 min walk to Abbey church, 10-15 min to the bath spa. So you don’t need car or bus. Everything is around you. So go ahead and book your stay.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the parking was at reduced rate compared to elsewhere in Bath which can be expensive. We stayed here for a few days, however the room was too small for that purpose. Due to the cupboard being tiny and having 6 coat hangers, we lived out of our suitcases, but there was no area to put them, so we just had to sit them on the floor and step around them to move about the room. There was also a lack of tea, milk etc when we got to the room. I suppose I expected more with it being a Hilton, but also understand the difficult times this industry is facing with staffing etc. It is a great location and I would stay again if it was for a night or two, but room too small for it to be a longer comfortable stay.

What a wonderful hotel. As a fan of Hilton hotels, when we found out there was one in Bath, we had to stay there. Granted the outside may look a bit old and tired, but inside is so modern! Upon arrival, the staff were so helpful with taking our bags early so we could explore the city and was given a free warm cookie and water. We arrived later on in the day to collect our room keys and when we entered our room, it was beautiful, modern and big. We even request to have a view of the river, which they accommodated us with. Thank you! The bed was comfortable, lovely big bathroom with shower and plenty of storage space for clothes. Not to mention the huge TV in the room with plenty of channels. The view from the room was magical of Bath, the river and on clear days we could see the rolling hills. The breakfast area in the morning is large and had a lot to offer (even in COVID times!). The room was beautifully decorated with flowers, lights and a glass roof. The only down side I can say about the breakfast is that they have changed their vegetarian sausages, but it definitely didn’t put a down to our stay! The staff were even helpful with requests including getting us a table to watch the Euros final. Nothing seemed to much and they always had a smile on their face. Can’t wait to stay here again when we return to Bath.

This hotel was perfect. So modern and clean, really comfy beds and wherever you go has a lovely smell. Staff were fantastic. Pay £10 a head for breakfast as there was lots of choice, it’s well presented and good quality food. I’m currently pregnant and when home comforts are important - this hotel was amazing. Location is spot on. Within walking distance to everything. We come to bath often so we’ll stay again.
