Rooms are tiny and we upgraded! We told the hotel it was a honeymoon stay but no special efforts made. Some staff were a bit aloof, didn't really spend much time on their customers. It's a nice looking hotel with a lovely bar and good food, but I probably wouldn't stay again.

I stayed in this hotel to attend a book festival. It was very close walking distance to all venues, the train station and high street. I had a small double which is the most basic but it was lovely, clean and cosy. Plus a great shower! All basic room amenities were provided. The staff were very polite and helpful and...

2 night weekend stay in September. Booked a superior room which was situated directly above the terrace (great view and no noise) The room itself was an average size, although there was no wardrobe only a hanging rail and couple of drawers for clothes it was perfectly adequate for weekend stay. I pad in the room with free internet was...

We had a wonderful stay here- it's location is second to none! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble- a special mentions to Peter and Rebecca for being so helpful. The bar area has been fairly nicely done-up but a lot of the rest of the place needs a major make-over. my wife, aged 70+, was left by all the reception staff to struggle into the lift, down 2 short flights of staircases and through 3 sets of fire doors with 2 large cases, whilst I went to park the...

We stayed there, in a basement room, just down from the men's toilets, and our friends had an upstairs room they described as "charming." So I guess, make sure you know where your room is before you book. The room was fine, but we had to keep the air conditioning unit on to recycle the air. The Abbey Hotel is...

Only 2 nights and everything within a stone's throw. Best room I could have wished for - up the top, overlooking the Parade - amenities adequate, bed comfortable, view ideal. Parking five minutes away on a street level municipal car park - not cheap (£12.50/day) but very convenient. However, more than any other single thing, the finest individual aspect of...

We stayed midweek on the top floor with a view from the front of the hotel towards pulteney bridge. Found the room to be clean, modern & stylish with a comfy bed. We were able to pull up out side to drop off luggage & park around the corner 2 minutes walk away. Perfect location in the heart of bath...
