This is the first time we have stayed here. We had the family room which was separate from the rest of the house. Very clean, bed comfy, nice shower and good size room overall. Breakfast was cooked to order and was lovely. Hosts very welcoming and knowlegable. Free parking on site as well. Only possible negative is that the hill...

We arrived earlier than expected, but still received a friendly welcome. We were very kindly allowed to leave our car in the car park, and wander in to town before check-in. The location is good - 10 minutes to town, we found the hill on the way back to be fine, although wouldn't want to do it multiple times a...

This b n b was booked through a hen company, but was so impressed I had to add a review. Lovely staff, great advice of the local area. Very clean and well presented guesthouse. Very chill out we were allowed to use lounge any time we wanted. Great location not far from the centre. But we did use taxis a...

Very good stay. The breakfast food was amazing and service was quick. The beds are very comfy and the rooms are roomy :D The owners are exceptionally friendly and always willing to help. Nothing is difficult to operate, eg: The Television and the shower. 10/10 would stay again.

Just returned home from a great weekend in Bath. Highways House is a cracking little hotel with a warm welcome and great service. Yes there are better hotels I'm sure but for the money it ticked all our boxes. A short 10 minute walk and your in central Bath and ready to enjoy your day. You can find fault with...

Spent 3 nights at the Highway House. What a gorgeous old place it is up on the hill. The staff are wonderful, the breakfast is wonderful and is nice and quiet. It's a 10 minute walk into town which is easy going down, coming back is a little hilly but easily managed. Highly recommend.

Nice place slightly out of the city centre up a hill from bath spa station. We were greeted by the owner very warmly and shown to our room. Nice cute room. Clean and quiet. Breakfast also very nice. Only small things wrong - wifi very weak in the room, some bulbs out in the bathroom, shower head a bit loose...

We turned up late, beyond the latest check-in time, but we rang ahead, and our hosts waited up for us. The B&B is a lovely old Victorian mansion that has been converted. The room was very cosy, and quiet. The walk into Bath town is about 15-20 minutes, but a very pleasant walk. It is also close to shops, restaurants...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Highways House, built in 1874, is a 5 room (all en suite) guest house. We are ten minutes walk into the city centre (Roman Baths, Bath Abbey, etc) and the return journey is a little uphill towards the end. We are on a main bus & cab route, and well away from the city centre's noisy pubs and clubs that are so busy at weekends. We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and friendliness. ... more   less
