We stayed here for one night bed and breakfast, we had a lovely warm welcome greeted by a member of staff when we got out of the car in the car park. We had the most basic King room which was perfect for us. It had an en suite as well, usually I'm the person who wants the most expensive...

Whilst looking for a hotel in central Bath Villa Magdalla's interesting and unusual appearance caught my eye. Having so much more character than some more traditional or contemporary hotels in Bath! I was also attracted by the hotel having on-site parking, which for any city isn't assured, let alone central Bath. I was also impressed by the pictures of large,...

This Villa is a 5 minute walk to the centre of Bath and all its' historic buildings, yet is situated in a quiet street next to a lovely park. (Apart from the noise of the seagulls, which are plentiful around Bath!) The staff couldn't be more helpful and we were greeted after a very long drive with coffee and cake,...

A really nice hotel situated a few minutes walk from the centre of Bath. The room was very clean and homely. The hotel had a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were well mannered and helpful. The breakfast was great value for money with plenty of options.

I have no idea how this place has been rated so highly on tripadvisor or how it has a 5 star rating. It's really dirty. The bathroom is disgusting. The carpet will stick to you feet. I only give it two stars because the staff were great and the location is great. This place needs a good clean, urgently. I...

Feedback both positive and constructive is always helpful. As business operators who are always looking to make improvements we are always thankful to any of our guests that take the time to offer us feedback. I do however, find myself on this occasion disappointed by your review and have not found it helpful in any way. The heading of your...

A wonderful reception when we arrived, Caroline the manager came out to say hello and our luggage was taken up to our room, whilst we were offered tea, and freshly brewed coffee and lovely homemade cake. This is a lovely hotel and we had one of the top rooms which was spacious with a huge bed and biggest tv I've seen (room 17). Staff were excellent as was breakfast. So why not 5 stars - cleaners need to be a bit more thorough in bedroom (move side tables and clean coffee stains) and paintwork on doors...

Dear John, thank you for taking the time to post a review on trip advisor. I was pleased to read that overall you enjoyed your stay and that you would likely revisit. Lovely welcome with coffee and cake provided. Our room was upgraded which was nice. Room spacious but plumbing in ensuite not up to scratch - the basin taps weren't long enough to properly reach the basin (very odd!) and the shower was difficult to turn on and very hard to balance the water temperature. For the prices charged, the plumbing...

The Villa Magdala is a crossover between a hotel and a luxury B&B, it seems to me. Staff were welcoming, and very helpful. There's a nice garden in the back, perfect for relaxing. Rooms were good sized and clean, breakfast was top notch with a homemade feel to it. Perfect distance to the town centre: both isolated from it, and...
