The Royal Hotel is in a fantastic location, directly opposite the train station and a short walk from the City centre with plenty of close, reasonably priced parking. However, we were rather disappointed by the size of the room given the price we paid...very small, outdated and nothing like the photos! Luckily we only stayed one night as we would...

I am replying to this review as one of the owners of The Royal Hotel The Royal Hotel was built in 1846 and is Grade II listed. All of the bedrooms vary in size and are individually decorated in keeping with the style and age of the hotel. We have 34 rooms, of which we feature a few, but we...

Stayed in the Royal Bath over August Bank Holiday weekend. What a lovely hotel! The rooms (we had 108) are very in keeping with the age of the property and are a great size. Breakfast in the morning was very good, you definitely won't go hungry. The staff are very friendly especially Heidi on reception who was a breathe of...

Had an overnight stay at the Royal with my daughter and granddaughter (to spend some girlie time together) The staff were lovely, really friendly. Our beds were super comfortable, but the room being at the front of the hotel was extremely noisy. We had to open the window as it was so warm and there was no air conditioning. Other...

We stayed in this hotel as part of a spa package. The location is great (just opposite the station) but this also means that the noise levels in our bedroom were very high. It was hot and we had the windows open - waking up in the morning we felt we were sleeping in the bus terminal as a steady...

I stayed here in 2012 and the Hotel was lovely. Great location as I traveled by train and ideal as its close to the centre of Bath. The room was small but comfortable and lovely little bathroom with shower. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful at all times. Coming back soon with a friend

We travelled to Bath by train and so the hotel was ideally situated as it was opposite the station.. My Husband had organised a 2 night break for me as a surprise for a special Birthday. Thank you for your review following your stay with us. I regret that you felt that your room was too small to qualify as a superior room. As mentioned in our description of The Royal it was built in 1846 and is a Grade II listed building and, therefore, this results in the rooms being a variety of sizes and...

This is a great centrally located hotel, just across from the station and the heart of town. When we arrived we were greeted by a very happy and friendly receptionist. I was very disappointed to read your review and in particular as I happened to be on duty in the reception area at the time you left the hotel and none of the issues raised in the review were mentioned whilst in conversation with our receptionist or indeed myself.
