A lovely old Georgian House sitting above Bath, only 10 minutes walk to the City Centre. We had a four-poster room in teh groundfloor/basement, with nice views over the garden and a super comfy bed! The bathroom was comapct, but well-equipped with a bath and shower. Breakfasts were lovely and certainly set us up for the day. Service was terrific...

I just loved Oldfields House and would gladly have stayed on! The house itself is exquisitely beautiful and the service was excellent. The food at breakfast was delicious - smoked salmon anyone? It is a good five minutes' walk to the town proper and the stairs are steep, and since my single room was at the top of the house...

Fortunately, we stayed in a room on the "road side" of the B&B so we did have air conditioning in the room. They told us it was primarily to reduce noise from the road, and it worked out great for us. The staff here was amazing. They even accommodated our early check out and made sure we still got a...

We enjoyed our stay at the Oldfields House - with one exception. We booked a four poster room, one of the most expensive rates, and clearly didn't read the fine print that this room had no air conditioning. It was a heat wave in England and the room was most uncomfortable even with the fan they provided. Other than that,...

nothing to complain about, we were warmly greeted with a cup of tea and biscuits, while we registered. We were given a quick helpful overview of bath and some suggestions for local places to see and do, that might not not have been included in the guide book. The Full English breakfast, was great and plentiful, service was quick, and...

Excellent stay. The management and staff could not do enough to make sure that the stay went smoothly, including booking and recommending restaurants. Our room was at the top of the house with views over Bath. Well presented and clean, and had air conditioning. Off and on street parking available. Breakfast was very good, cooked to order. Within 10 minutes...

Being firmly on the tourist map, Bath abounds with hotels and guest houses from the cheap and nasty to the fabulously luxurious, but over priced, rip-off joints. Finding a quality guest house that gets the price/quality balance just right is a serious challenge. With the above in mind, I was delighted to find Oldfield House around a year ago and...
