Built of golden Bath stone, The Ayrlington is a large and handsome English Heritage listed building set in a splendid walled oriental garden with exceptional views of the City and its medieval Abbey. Bath's magnificent historic sites, speciality shops and excellent restaurants are all just a five minutes level stroll away. all 19 bedrooms have an individual theme and are beautifully furnished, some with four poster beds. The emphasis is on creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the centre of Bath's vibrant city centre. The Ayrlington has a licensed residents' bar, secure on-site private parking and is entirely non smoking. We cannot accept children under 5 years of age. The Ayrlington's ongoing commitment to quality has brought some well deserved and hard earned awards - five stars from Visit Britain, a listing in The Good Hotel Guide and multiple Bath in Bloom garden awards.

We stayed three nights at the Ayrlington and loved it there, great location and a delicious breakfast. Richard the Greek guy was brilliant, really helpful and is a great asset for this hotel. All the staff worked hard and we would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wishing to visit Bath.

Had a lovely stay here - with a four poster bed and a lovely room which felt spacious and airy. Nice clean bathroom with good shower. Friendly staff always available to serve drinks in the lounge, and nice big garden to enjoy when the sun shines. Breakfast freshly cooked and plenty on offer. Not cheap, but very enjoyable.

This little hotel is absolutely stunning ! lovely gardens especially as we picked the hottest weekend to come ! staff are lovely especially Jonny who welcomed us and was at the lobby bar serving drinks. The Breakfast was amazing - lots of choices from fruit through to a full english. The hotel is literally 5-10 min walk from the main centre but far enough away from any noise ., very peaceful, stunning. car parking facilities no charge ., our room looked over the gardens and was spotless, roomy and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. will definitely be coming back !

This is definitely not 5 star, stayed for 1 night at a cost of £190 for the garden room. Very disappointed. the room had a smell to it, dull dark decor..hot breakfast was brought out before I had finished my cereal...the only good points, we had a good night's sleep and close to Bath's city centre.
