Stayed one night at the Ayrlington and it was an excellent experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Tulip room which was very spacious and accommodated the three of us very well. The room and bathroom were clean and well presented. We had breakfast which was lovely, choice of fresh fruit and cereals with tea coffee...

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the Ayrlington. The staff are all so friendly, the rooms are clean and the views from our windows were superb. Breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the center of Bath. We will definitely be back.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for two nights in mid October 2015 and cannot recommend it highly enough. The outer aesthetic is beautiful and tidy, with very easy parking. The staff were always friendly and helpful with any queries. Then there's the room. We genuinely ordered take out for the first night so we could maximise our time in...

I recently took my wife away on a surprise trip to Bath and when searching for hotels the Ayrlington was not my 1st choice but had to settle with it due to availability. The availability gods must have been shining down on me that day as booking this hotel was a blessing in disguise. This hotel should be the top...

I love the Ayrlington for its friendly staff, because nothing is too much trouble. I also love the location - just a 10 minute level walk to the town centre, and the fact that it has a car park. They were also very flexible about letting us leave the car there before checking in and after checking out. However, we...

Staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The room was beautiful, large, airy, TV, sofa and very comfortable bed. We even had dressing gowns in the wardrobe. Ensuite was clean and shower good. The breakfast times were very good, 7.45 to 10am, and it was grilled to perfection. Great location, only a few minutes walk into the...

Great location - walking distance to city centre. Welcoming hotel; nothing was too much trouble. Variety of rooms- some spectacular, others more basic but all very cosy and clean. Very nice breakfast. Lovely small yet secluded grounds. A very calm, tranquil hotel, would highly recommend.

Lovely old-style charm with great service, brilliant staff; perfect breakfast to start each day and truly all within a few minutes' lovely walk from the heart of Bath. Our trip was timed to coincide with equinox at Stonehenge and we were picked up nearby by the wonderful Lion Tours for a truly memorable day.

Was a beautiful place to stop. Quiet yet still only 5 min walk from the center. My only complaint would be no WiFi reception in our room, but that is just trivial. I will be doing my best to stop again

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built of golden Bath stone, The Ayrlington is a large and handsome English Heritage listed building set in a splendid walled oriental garden with exceptional views of the City and its medieval Abbey. Bath's magnificent historic sites, speciality shops and excellent restaurants are all just a five minutes level stroll away. The Ayrlington's elegant and tranquil interior is a graceful blend of English and Asian antiques, artwork, fine fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedlinen - all 18 bedrooms have an individual theme and are beautifully furnished, some with four poster beds. The emphasis is on creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the centre of Bath's vibrant city centre. The Ayrlington has a licensed residents' bar, secure on-site private parking and is entirely non smoking. We do not accept children under 5 years of age.
