This hotel is certainly one to stay in. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready but we were able to park the car in the free car park and walk into the centre of Bath. Our two nights were booked via a Groupon Deal and was excellent value but, as it was a deal we obviously didn't get one...

The kerb and indeed reception appeal of this hotel might not be the best, but don't let this put you off since its location, room quality and attentive service easily make up for this. Being no more than a pleasant 10 minute walk from Bath centre make it a perfect place to be. The views from the rear of the...

We stayed here for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We loved the hotel, our room was on the first floor and had super views of the abbey and garden. It was clean and well furnished. The bathroom probably needs updating but the water was hot and the towels thick and soft. There were many choices at breakfast and...

We were shown to our room later and were given more useful information on the area and the hotel ammenities. Our room (Rose) was...

Very spacious with all amenities: bathrobes, toiletries, tea/coffee facilities. Room kept very clean, no complaints at all. Breakfast was very substantial with plenty of choice. Good location for exploring Bath. Hotel spotlessly clean, lovely decor and good quality furnishings. Toiletries supplied one of the best I have used! Staff very helpful and polite. The full English breakfast we chose (from an extensive menu) was one of the best we have had, tasty, hot and very well presented. Only criticism, our room The Orchid Room, was...

Built of golden Bath stone, The Ayrlington is a large and handsome English Heritage listed building set in a splendid walled oriental garden with exceptional views of the City and its medieval Abbey. Bath's magnificent historic sites, speciality shops and excellent restaurants are all just a five minutes level stroll away. The Ayrlington's elegant and tranquil interior is a graceful blend of English and Asian antiques, artwork, fine fabrics and Egyptian cotton bedlinen - all 18 bedrooms have an individual theme and are beautifully furnished, some with four poster beds. The emphasis is on creating an atmosphere of peace and tranquility in the centre of Bath's vibrant city centre. The Ayrlington has a licensed residents' bar, secure on-site private parking and is entirely non smoking. We do not accept children under 5 years of age. The Ayrlington's ongoing commitment to quality has brought some well deserved and hard earned awards - five stars from The AA and Visit Britain, AA Premier Collection, a listing in The Good Hotel Guide and multiple Bath in Bloom garden awards. ... more   less
