This is my favourite place to stay. As my parents have downsized when we come to visit we have to stay here, bliss! They are always so polite and friendly here, with the amazing house and grounds to boot how could we go anywhere else. So our visits have been becoming more regular. Amazing staff, stunning history this is the... More

Stayed here recently for a weekend and it was absolutely blissful, from the moment we stepped in to be greeted by a staff member holding the door through to leaving and the same staff member doing exactly the same thing!!! Nothing here it seems is too much trouble, it has the grandeur of a large 5 star country house hotel... More

I've stayed here a few times now and would chose this place every time. The staff are amazing, especially Fabien who has gone out of his way to accommodate our needs each time. The choice of rooms are just superb. Each one brimming with style and sophistication. I am most certainly not a snob, and its not something id require... More

We stayed here for a night in the cottage apartment. Hotel is conveniently located 5 min drive from the center. The appartment was clean and well equipped, Queen size bed in one bedroom and 2 single beds in the other, which were quite comfortable, 2 toilets, one with a shower one with a bath, kitchen and everything else tha5 you... We were fortunate enough to stay at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights with another couple. Our rooms were outfitted perfectly and impeccably. It is quiet and convenient to town. The service from the staff could not be beat or better. The breakfast is delicious and complete. But the stuff is what really makes this beautiful small hotel a delight.... More

I don't give many "excellent" ratings but this deserves it. We have just returned from a short break at Apsley House and it was wonderful. From the moment the receptionist came out to greet us as we arrived to the moment they waved us off nothing was too muuch trouble. The hotel was stylish (traditional style) and comfortable both in... The Duke of Wellingtons old house, a lovely place with elegance of a bygone era. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and with a nice view. It was not like staying in a hotel but an elegant Bath home. Walkable to the centre of Bath. Won't hesitate to stop again.

Have just returned from a short break in Bath and stayed two nights at the Apsley House - would highly recommend. The staff are helpful and friendly and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are beautiful, with lots of extra touches which make them special. Our bathroom was lovely, with big fluffy white towels - everything is super clean and... More

We've just come back from an amazing weekend in Bath for my husbands birthday. Apsley House was the perfect place to stay. The couple who manage the hotel are a credit to the place, nothing was too much trouble and they work so hard from managing the front desk to bringing in suitcases and dealing with the breakfast, which was... This hotel is superb in every way. You will not find a better breakfast or more comfortable luxurious rooms. The staff are extremely helpful and kind. We stayed 2 nights and both days we walked into Bath and back again (30 mins one way). A true delight.
