Terrible stay- I arrived to be greeted by a pleasant but very stressed staff member who was dealing with a guest's 'medical' problem. This can't be helped- but she was the only staff member holding the fort and wasn't coping at all- (Although she was trying!) There were no lights working in my room so she went to change bulb...

This hotel is dirty, poorly staffed and way behind the times in decor or amenities. Please stay somewhere else even the price does not make up for it. The room was OK size but poor quality, The breakfast provided was not as nice as a gourmet McDonald. The plus side is that it is close to bath city.

Despite Bolling process advising of bar and breakfast neither were available. Beds uncomfy, locks on doors don't work, showers black with mould. In its favour the location is superb and the staff were friendly and apologetic.

Avoid at all costs! This hotel is very run down, there are horrible smears and marks all over walls in the rooms and corridors. The carpets are unclean and the bathrooms covered in mould. Mattress on the bed thin with just a sheet and a blanket to sleep under. One plus point was the bed linen and towels were immaculate....

I stayed here with friends. They couldn't find our booking even though we booked several months ago but did manage to find us a twin and two single rooms. Sparse probably best describes the rooms. One blanket and a sheet on each bed which was cold during the night. There was a tv in each room and tea making kit...

The worst hotel we have ever been in. DO NOT stay there. It is substandard. Our room had clean bedlinen and towels, warm heaters and little else. Grotty wooden, uneven floor, broken tile in shower area, one bedlight and such a dim main light we could not read at night. TV remote had no batteries and the light over the...

I feel bad about being so negative, as I think the people we saw are trying their best to look after guests. But this place is barely a hotel - just rooms. There's no breakfast or bar operating and minimal staffing. It's terribly run-down and shabby - which is a shame because parts of the building could be attractive. On...

Excellent location right in the centre of Bath with free parking, bonus in the city centre, the Hotel is tired and tatty, obviously was quite grand back in the day, but really cheap at least 1/2 the price of others!! The towels & sheets were spotlessly clean, hot shower too, guy on reception very friendly.

About half of the lightbulbs needed changing. The wallpaper is coming of the walls. The carpets needs refurbishing. Our night lamp needed a socket (they where all on the walls on the other side of the room). The blanket was scratchy. The door of the shower didn't fully open. All in all it was a complete nightmare.

We wanted a budget hotel and bath was busy this weekend - this is obviously all that was left. Hotel is fantastically located and looks nice from the outside. We checked in and, given previous reviews I'd read, we declined the offer of paying up front until we'd seen our room. The twin room that we had booked was comprised...
