Arrived with my adult daughter to the Elgin Villa and was met by Peter at the front door. Had a good laugh about the weather and with night falling he told us how to park (free) and come on in when your ready. Warm and friendly reception from our hosts and shown a great room with a shared bath....no problem...

Peter and Margarita were excellent hosts and are interesting down-to-earth people! There are spaces at the front when you arrive and car parking at the rear. Peter has a wide knowledge of Bath and made us feel very welcome. Our stay was very good value for money and Margarita is really good with the scrambled egg!!

My partner and I spent two nights at Elgin Villa in January. I had read on previous reviews that the B & B had changed ownership - now owned by Margarita and Peter. On arrival we felt at home immediately, such interesting down-to-earth people! It was such an advantage to have parking so close at hand, and free too :-)...

We stayed four nights in a very large room on the first floor, over the dining room and overlooking the street, with a private bath. We were a bit concerned to find out that the B&B had changed owners since we had booked, but were absolutely delighted with Margarita and Peter. Margarita was a gracious host and did everything possible...

This B & B is clean and the rooms quite spacious but it does not have a soul! Everything was functional but without character. Breakfast was very disappointing and very limited, croissant was extremely dry. Not enough room in Breakfast Room for everyone. Has parking which is very important and location good and that is the only advantage of this...

Margarita and Peter have realized a dream by recently buying this B&B and we think they are doing a very nice job. They are very helpful with information and the B&B is cozy and very clean. Our room, #5 was spacious and looked out over a lovely garden. It also had the largest bathroom of any place we stayed while...

When we learned that Anna Rutherford had sold the Elgin Villa, we wondered if it would be as good as we had heard. The new owners, Peter and Margarite, could not have been more gracious! They even prepared a scrambled egg for me, because I have a problem with sugar tolerance. I can't say enough good about Elgin Villa. In...

We loved Elgin Villa. My husband, son & I shared a spacious triple room with private bath, dining table and fireplace. Anna was interesting & hospitable. When we arrived, I was feeling motion-sick from the bus ride. When Anna learned this, she went to her garden & picked fresh peppermint so I could make peppermint tea. We loved her fresh...

We decided to spend a day and a half in Bath while we were vacationing in London. We drove there (an experience all to itself) from Heathrow and it took about 2 hours. The directions given to us by Anna were perfect and there was a place to park our car - for free! This is probably one of the...
