Highly recommend Spears Cross. Received a warm welcome from Tricia and Cliff; very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble for them. Tricia cooked a wonderful breakfast of fresh produce provided by local suppliers. This is a homely comfortable B&B with lots of quality extras - toiletries, thick cosy white towels, fresh crisp bedlinen, tea/coffee and cake after a day out,...

What a wonderful place! We stayed at Spears Cross for just 3 nights but wish it had been longer. We have never had such superb, pleasant hosts as Cliff and Tricia. They really did make us feel very welcome and special, Nothing was too much trouble for them, from booking a table at local restaurants to running us to the...

We have just returned from a weekend in Dunster staying at Spear's Cross. We were made most welcome there and the house was beautiful. I loved the mixture of the old beams with the modern facilities. The rooms were very comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. I particularly enjoyed the small touches such as the chocolates and fresh milk...

We have just returned from a 2 night break at Spears Cross and felt I had to wirte a review as this is the best B & B we have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts Cliff and Trica from making cups of tea and cake in the afternoon for us on our return from a...

I shan't repeat what others have said except to say this is the second time we have stayed here. We first went in the winter of 2009 when a welcoming log fire was blazing away in the resident's lounge. We always said we would go back in the summer as we wanted to visit Dunster Castle, so at the last...

I have recently returned from a two night stay at Spears Cross and have nothing but praise for this lovely B&B. The hosts Cliff and Tricia were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, from giving advice on places to visit to recommendations for local restaurants. We were welcomed with tea/coffee and homemade cake, which, thanks to the glorious weather,...

We have just returned from 2 nights at this lovely B&B in a great location. The hosts Cliff and Tricia couldn't do enough for us, whether it was something simple like helping with luggage, to the more unusual request of printing off my best man speech. The building is beautiful as are the rooms. The little touches made it extra...

I am always amazed how the standard stays so high. We have travelled here for over five years and continue to enjoy the subtle touches that our congenial hosts always offer. The cleanliness, the service the legendary breakfasts, the list is too long. We look forward to our return next spring.

Spacious room, very well equiped. Perfect position by Dunster Castle. Very helpful suggestions and booking for restaurants and walks in the area. Always ready to offer tea, coffee and cakes. If you are a light sleeper the church is quite close and chimes during the night.
