Glastonbury Packpackers has now closed (As of July 2016). The Packpackers is all locked/boarded up and you can't get in. I would suggest looking for somewhere else, as far as I know there is no one available to contact. There are plenty of other choices on Tripadvisor! Good Luck.

Apart from the appalling conditions, which other reviewers have mentioned... yes it is disgusting! We were robbed and charged twice for the room, paid in cash on arrival, then the following day also charged to our card. Stayed two nights and spent the last day of the holiday on the phone to the bank sorting things out. Do not stay...

We booked 2 rooms for the Glastonbury weekend through hostel world. We tried calling to ask a few questions for months before hand but no reply - we had a mobile number also and even texted them ...... Still no reply - we were re-assured by hostel world that the reservation was fine. We arrived on the Thursday (booked for...

I do NOT recommend the Crown in Glastonbury, I have never seen such a filthy hostel in my life before. I am not a fussy person, I have been in lots of hostels before, and considering, it was a backpackers, I didn't have high expectations at all. But the conditions were way below my expectations. The room was really small,...

I've got a reservation for July but despite ringing countless times over at least a week to confirm it, no one's answering. I've sent an email to the address I received my confirmation from but the email address is no longer valid.

Staff was friendly changed my perception on hostels. When originally booking i avoided these listings like the plague. But after staying here i learned one thing, Networking. Yes you could stay at some high priced inn, but when your money is low and your on a strict budget hostels are definitely a place to consider. So let me clear the...

This hostel is right in the center of town so you will be close to everything. The Galstonbury Abbey is directly across the street. We were checked in quickly when we arrived at about 9:30p on a Saturday night, music and merriment were in full swing at the bar where you check in. We received the Elizabeth room with ensuite...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a backpackers with male & female dorms and 6 private rooms most with showers & toilets. The Crown & Glastonbury Backpackers is set in the center of wonderful Glastonbury just up from the Abbey. The accommodation is directly above a very busy bar with DJ's and live music on weekends open until 2.30am, which is great fun if you want to join in but obviously it is also loud upstairs on weekends. The dorm rooms & 3 privates are on the third floor, other private rooms on the second floor are very loud on these nights, so if you're not a night owl ear plugs are recommended!IMPORTANT - ACCOMMODATION IS ABOVE A GREAT FUN BAR WHICH IS VERY BUSY & NOISY ON WEEKENDS - IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR FUN WE HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON, IF YOU WANT QUIET & PEACEFUL BEDS WE ARE NOT FOR YOU! ... more   less
