We stayed here for 2 nights in March. The room was for 3 and was good size. The bathroom was clean and modernized. Unfortunately, the mattresses are HORRIBLE. As other reviews have stated the mattresses are worn with the springs sticking you all night long. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Upgrade the beds and I would...

Considering the location and the price of £95 I was extremely disappointed with this place. For the price I would have expected a boutique style hotel instead it was a shabby pub with even shabbier rooms. If you tastes include mismatched brown furniture covered in dust, stained carpets, tiny TV, grubby bathroom with pre-used soaps and collections of cobwebs and...

If you love a la carte and mega luxury this isn't for you. If you love history, it is. The magic of the building is great. The restaurant has tasteful art painted on the walls and the old and creaking furniture is where the owners have been sympathetic with its surroundings. Would it have the same feel with modern furniture,...

I have been reading some of the reviews slagging off the place.I ate here last July,on a friends recommendation, and could not fault the food or the service.Yes the place was very busy and we waited twenty minutes for our food, but I think that is about average these days. And the place has a wonderful atmosphere.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The four poster room was shabby. Holes in the carpet, stains all over the walls, the curtains hanging off their rails and some of the drawers useless as the handles had come off. At £150.00 per night it is vastly overpriced, maybe £20.00 per night would reflect the correct value of...

If you like creaky, uneven floors, 4 posters, exposed beams, everything out of square but that simply oozes history then this is the place for you. We loved it as you get to actually feel a sense of the history of Glastonbury. The location is great and parking is at the rear. The food is honest and reasonable priced. The...

The George and Pilgrims clearly polarises opinion! I hope I offer an objective opinion. The George and Pilgrim undoubtedly has seen better times but 'strewth'....it IS medieval! It oozes history and character, it enjoys strong local support, the staff and management we found to be friendly and accommodating and it offers a decent selection of beers, wines and spirits, however...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. Having one night in the old part of the hotel in The King Henry VIII room. Lovely four poster bed lots of history to room. Would recommend this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved our stay.

I cannot believe some of the reviews saying this is the best hotel they have ever stayed in!!! We arrived at 8.20 in the evening to be told, no food stops at 8pm!! I have never been to any hotel that food stops at 8?? When we went to check in we asked if we could see the room, to...

This hotel was just brilliant in every way. The history and atmosphere is very charming as are the staff. We stayed on 21/2 for 2 nights and we arrived early before check in. Cath (the manager) was very happy to look after our luggage so that we could explore Glastonbury. We were greeted with such a warm, friendly welcome and...
