Keepers Cottage is absolutely beautiful. We were lucky to have a room that opened out onto the fields at the back of the property and spent an idyllic afternoon sitting on the terrace enjoying the sound of the birds and perfect countryside view. We stayed for Emma and Ian's pop-up supper, which was something we had never done before. The...

We'd heard about this "pop up restaurant evening " through Facebook. As we live local it had to be tried. We were NOT disappointed. A warm welcome from Ian our host with a glass of champagne and canapés. Emma who cooked and produced excellent tasting quality food. Not forgetting Pauline who waited on the table amongst her other chores. As...

Stayed for one night, Ian and Emma were impeccable hosts and the pop up menu was simply wonderful. A truly idyllic place to stay. Their attention to detail is obvious and all in all they provide a restful 'home' for all. The food is outstanding and we will return in the future.

We spent two nights in Hay Loft, a self-contained, beautifully decorated building - such a peaceful location - had amazing nights sleep! We enjoyed delicious homemade elder-flower cordial and fabulous chocolate brownies on our arrival. Emma creates wonderful cooked breakfasts using lots of local produce, the sweet potato pancakes with maple bacon were a particular favourite; lovely to have breakfast...

we booked the Paddock at Keepers Cottage for 2 nights as we were attending my son's wedding in Glastonbury and wanted to stay somewhere quieter. On arrival we were greeted with tea and homemade lemon cake with raspberries-delicious. Emma and her husband have created 3 tastefully decorated rooms with thoughtful finishing touches. Our room, which is on the ground floor,...

Visited for a school reunion at the local pub last week. We were recommended Keeper's Cottage. Thank goodness we went for it. What a beautiful place. You can't call it a B&B its like a small 4 star boutique hotel. Accommodation and food absolutely out of this world. I will be going again! Thank you

Emma and her husband have created three spacious, comfortable, rooms at the bottom of their garden. She has thought of everything you could possibly want in a B&B, and is really keen to supply the needs of her guests. She welcomes you with tea and cake, much needed after a long drive, and nothing is too much trouble thereafter. The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on a quiet country lane on the outskirts of the village of Butleigh, Keepers Cottage is a luxurious, boutique-style bed & breakfast in a secluded, rural location. We are in a truly glorious spot with breathtaking views across open fields and small villages to Glastonbury Tor and the Mendip Hills beyond. Keepers is first and foremost a relaxed and comfortable family home and we offer just three guest bedroom suites - we call them Paddock, Orchard and Hay Loft. Keepers exudes rustic charm with wood floors, vaulted, oak-beamed ceilings, and wood-burning stoves. We combine this with all the usual comforts and conveniences you'd expect, and then add a dash of luxury such as sumptuous furnishings and L'Occitane toiletries, to make for what we think is a really magical combination. ... more   less
