We stayed in Merlin's room, a lovely en-suite room with a huge bed, overlooking the road. Some traffic noise with the window open but it didnt cause a problem for us. Bathroom was spacious with a shower over bath. The bath a little on the small side but a nice powerful shower. Set in a lovely village. Breakfast was fine,...

We needed a last minute room for the weekend and found the Meare Manor. The value was excellent, the owners welcoming and the staff lovely. The rooms were all quaintly done, clean and well loved. Highly recommend, such a peaceful and relaxing place. The breakfast is proper home made and delicious. Tesco express etc not too far away.

We stayed one night as we needed somewhere between Bath/Bristol and Devon after a wedding and the Meare Manor fit the bill. The room we stayed in, Guinevere, was by far the smallest room in the Manor, however, it had a double bed, en suite shower, tv so for a one night stop it was fine. The complimentary tea and...

Friendly welcome from the owner. Spacious room, with nice furniture. Clean en-suite bathroom with nice toiletries included. Excellent breakfast cooked fresh to order. Easy parking. Fairly priced too. All in all a very good option.

Booked a twin room for one night for me and my best mate after spending a day shopping at nearby Clarkes Village. The owners are friendly and welcoming and the room was a decent size and comfortable. We had a meal in the bar area and the food was lovely. Proper homemade food. The bangers, mash & onion gravy was...

My family and I have stayed here a couple of times and we could not have been more welcomed there. The breakfasts are to die for as well (awesome sausages) - well worth getting up early for and the owners are ever so helpful and pleasant. I would add that parking can be at a bit of a premium should...

Spotlessly clean and perfect poached eggs! Great location within minutes of Glastonbury and numerous wildlife / nature reserves. Received a very warm welcome on arrival and personally shown to our room.

Situated just outside Glastonbury, this guest house is the perfect antidote for those disillusioned with chain hotel accommodation. My requirement was for a low cost one night stay to allow me to visit an ageing relative nearby. A character older building with interesting history, the room was comfortable and warm with all in room facilities including WiFi that actually worked....

The welcome to Meare Manor was friendly and courteous. You immediately notice the very tired and somewhat dreary decor downstairs but the main issue is an overwhelming smell from the kitchen which permeates the whole place, like a carvery was served two days ago. Going up to our room we arrived to find the windows open, so very cold and...

Arrival was dealt with professionally albeit the room was smaller than I thought it would be. The location of the Manor is about 5 miles away from anywhere so we taxied in to Glasstonbury and we were charged £10 one way by one company and then £15 one way by another company, so can work out expensive. The owner and...
