Situated a short walk from the Wells Cathedral and Bishop's Palace is this delightful house. Stepping inside is returning to the elegance of the mid 20th century. You receive a warm welcome. The house is furnished with antique items on all floors but the practicalities are more modern. A stair hoist is available to the first floor to aid mobility...

Literally a warm welcome with an open fire in the hall. Our room was in the medium price range, well appointed with nice view over countryside. Good shower in clean en-suite. Comfortable bed. Good tea/coffee facilities with fresh milk from fridge in kitchen on the same floor. Very good choice for breakfast including nice breads and nice preserves (not in...

warm welcome with a cup tea and homemade cake which we took out into the garden. So relaxing. Beautiful room with everything one could ask for. Hooks in the bathroom and shelves for wash bag (both often lacking in hotels). Comfortable chair and table with tea and coffee. Plenty of cupboard space both shelves and hanging. Just everything one needs....

Stayed at Beryl for a 2 night surprise weekend break for my wife's birthday. Having seen the pictures and read previous reviews I knew she would love it, but to experience the beautiful elegant house, relaxing gardens and friendly staff it exceeded all expectations. We stayed in the 'Summer' room which was beautiful, every piece of furniture (apart from the...

Everything about the hotel, from the location, the beautiful scenery and the super friendly staff, is just wonderful. We thought that this may be a little way outside the town, but actually the walk up the hill didn't end up being too bad at all. There are some lovely restaurants in town. Shame we missed the bluebell wood. Maybe next...

We have just returned from a delightful weekend stay and it was lovely from start to finish. The welcome is warm and friendly and the house is beautiful and full of character. Its about a 20 minute walk into Wells where there is so much to see and plenty of good restaurants. The Hotel lists several restaurants and show their...

Enjoyed the afternoon tea on arrival. The house is full of character, and everyone was very welcoming. It would have been good to explore a bit more and stay longer. Perhaps another time. The only thing to be aware of was that we could hear a fan-like sound which we assumed to be the heating. Thankfully it stopped at 11pm,...

I attended a work meeting at Beryl and was very impressed with the wonderful house and the lovely people. The tea and cake was delicious and I would certainly like to go back for a weekend away to take advantage of the grounds and outside pool!

We stayed in the Master room - huge room with massive 4 poster and overlooking the garden. Wish we could have stayed for longer! We only tried breakfast, not the afternoon tea but breakfast was great - extensive choice of cereals, fruit, parties plus of course, an excellent Full English. After that, had a waddle round the lovely garden to...
