Just stayed the one night but a lovely experience in a stunning old building in a central location with incredibly comfy beds and a great pub and staff. Were warned on booking that it could be noisy due to the rooms being above the bar and they have a 1.00am licence but didn't hear a thing, best nights sleep in...

I was in the city arms yesterday with two friends. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The bar/restaurant itself is nice, it was quiet when we came in as it was a Wednesday evening. The owner was also friendly and attentive to us. Lovely skinny chips with fish goujons which were also tasty, and my friend got a roasted...

My partner & I stayed here for 2 nights. Room 3 has been very tastefully refurbished (the red decor & yellow walls have gone). Great location to explore Wells. We had a fabulous Sunday Lunch in the restaurant. Sarah the Manager was really friendly & recommended places to visit. We parked in Tucker Street which was inexpensive & we registered...

We had a ploughmans and fish and chips. For nearly £10 each it was awful. Fish was really greasy and was more batter than fish. The ploughmans was unbelievable. Bread was hard and onions tasted of water. Wouldn't recommend.

Stopped here for one night as passing through. Got to our room via a spiral wrought iron staircase. Room was very quirky with high beams and huge shower. Can only say positive things, usual tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and tv..what more do you want for an overnight stop...also lovely and clean. Would def stay here again, very central...

I ordered salmon with sweet potato bubble and squeak with carrots and broccoli, the bubble and squeak turned out to be mashed sweet potato with some whole carrots and broccoli florets mixed in and then the veg was more carrots and broccoli. When it arrived at the table the waitress managed to spill the sauce all over my leg and...

My boyfriend paid upfront for a one night stay on 4th September. When we arrived the gates were locked with a phone number on a sign saying 'for access call this number' we were told by the owner (guy who answered phone) that the landlady had done a bunk!! Having travelled to Wells, never been before- had to walk from...

Apologies Jenny. There is a new management team in place for 2016. Rooms are due to be back up and ready (After a refurbishment) in early 2016.

Lovely spacious and comfortable room, excellent central location, good price, and a very nice hot breakfast included in the price. Our luggage was stored free of charge which not all hotels do, and there was excellent wifi connection for my son. There was a good, powerful shower. My only quibble is that toiletries weren't included which we hadn't expected. I'd...

Very reasonably priced, clean, staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good. Central location and if you look a little further than your nose - there is a car park by the bus station which is just around the corner! For what I paid I certainly couldn't complain.

Thank Cris J
