We recently stayed at Ashford House for the bank holiday weekend and it definitely deserves the good reviews it has received. Jayne and her family were very welcoming and the room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. There was a really good selection of food for the continental breakfast and Jayne also left fruit and cookies in the room. The...

I had a great week here whilst spending a week singing at Wells Cathedral. Jabe was welcoming and friendly, the room was clean and pleasant and breakfast was great. The quiet surroundings were perfect. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first visit to the 'new' Ashford House. The rooms are separate from the main house and very nicely decorated. Spotlessly clean and roomy. The bathroom is compact but functional. Breakfast is pre ordered and eaten in your room. Jane, the owner, is vivacious, friendly and welcoming.

This was a real treat - as two older couples traveling together, we were delighted with the garden suites that gave us quiet surroundings, rooms big enough to sit in (with chairs we could use for evening reading -- a rare find in English B&Bs), lovely modern bathrooms with shower, and a compact mini-kitchen. Jayne was a wonderful host --...

A fantastic place to stay, with the benefits of b&b and the flexibility and independence of a cottage. Jayne was very welcoming and provided secure storage for our bicycles, The room was clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished and the ensuite power shower was great. Breakfast was excellent and nice having it ready in your room to have as you pleased....

What a lovely experience from the moment of arrival to the moment of departure! Jayne’s accommodation is so comfortable and well appointed, with such a comfy bed in the Rose Room and an excellent, high-powered shower in the ensuite. I so enjoyed my stay there and would be hard pushed to criticise any aspect of the accommodation, the service or...

We booked Ashford House as we needed somewhere to stay, just for one night, that was walkable into Wells. We stayed in the Rose Suite and were very impressed with the whole set-up. The two suites have been created from a former garage/outbuilding and so you are away from the main house. We prefer this as you feel you have...

We stayed for two nights whilst visiting friends in Wells and couldn't have expected more. Jane is a perfect host, the room was spotless and the breakfast arrangement was great for us. We especially enjoyed the privacy of being in a chalet type room, not disturbing the household and yet not feeling like we were left to get on with...
