Never had to stay at the hotel but had the misfortune to visit the bar a few times, tonight being the final time. Never enough staff, or tables, no matter what time of day you visit. After ten minutes waiting without even being acknowledged we have just walked out - Friday night and there were five staff behind the bar, two...

A busy town centre hotel. A telephone call got me good directions to the car park, approached from the Station. My single room was a single room with nothing wrong with it and little to recommend it. Reception was helpful at all times and the restaurant served me an acceptable meal and breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Thought it was very expensive. Room very basic and decor old. Bed very uncomfortable and sheets didn't fit the bed properly. For what the room was like I was very disappointed and would only rate it 2/3 star. The restaurant was good and the breakfast just enough. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

Really great and enjoyable trip. Marathon was really well organised for both runners and spectors. Plenty of places within walking distance for shopping and coffee and also near the railway. Hope to return next year

Lovely place, beautiful room, only downside was the decorating that began at 7am in the next room followed by the local church bells but I guess that can't be helped, not great early on a Sunday morning

Dear amye404 Thank you for your recent feedback regarding your stay at The Swan Hotel. Please accept my apologies for the noise from the decorator. We are upgrading our bedrooms on a rota system and I have spoken to Housekeeping to ensure that the decorator keeps the noise down until a more suitable hour in the future. Sorry but we...

Hubby & I thought we would treat ourselves to breakfast in The Swan today, something we've been meaning to do & looked forward to for some time. Sadly it didn't live up to our expectations, the staff, although friendly, spent a lot of time constantly moving cutlery & glasses around on tables, until eventually moving the tables around entirely! The...

Excellent stay. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Everything you expect from a top quality hotel at a reasonable price. Breakfast was nice and I got a good nights sleep in a comfortable room. If you are ever staying in Stafford then I would highly recommend this hotel

I brought my my nan an afternoon tea voucher for Christmas, we arrived and we're seated in a lovely corner part of the bistro. Food was served very quickly, unlimited amount of hot drinks and staff on hand throughout. Nothing seemed too much trouble, sandwiches and cakes were all fresh and lovely. Scones were amazing! A member of the public...

A hotel with a lot of potential but rooms are dreadful and in desperate need of renovation. Good location and enjoyable bar setting. Breakfast was pleasant....Lunch wasn't....very disappointed when we ordered a platter of sandwiches and chips which was advertised to feed 4-6 people for £24.00 and we received, what was essentially 4 sandwiches cut into triangles and a plate...

Dear Lacers75 Thank you for your review of your recent visit to The Swan Hotel. I am aware that our bedrooms are in need of a refresh and this is planned for the coming months with bedrooms being closed off gradually on a weekly basis to ensure our standards return to normal. We are a busy town centre hotel and...
