Only paid £30 and got a clean standard travelodege room tv, tea, decent shower free 30 min WiFi and free parking. Handy 24hr garage and great curry house on site. Next to the main road but minimal noise. Great value would highly recommend. Only 2 mins drive to Hardwick park, probably 1.5 miles if you have to walk

A good and easy to find location and all of the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this Travelodge has become rather dated, even the sign outside still says "Forte Travelodge" which is a pre 1995 sign !!! The bathroom is showing its age too with cracking sealant and minor signs of embedded mould WHICH IS NOT DUE TO A LACK OF CLEANING. The room was generally clean although the carpet was showing signs of wear.
Purely a personal preference, this hotel still has door locks with a key....far better than today's modern electronic swipe cards which I always end up wiping by putting them in my pocket beside my phone!!!

Most disappointed after ringing up and looking at website of Sedgefield Traveidge to find our room had a bath not an accessible shower as stated over phone, on website and details they sent me via email .
Poor girl on reception was very apologetic . Her manager was rang and told we could be moved several miles away .
We had come to Sedgefield for long weekend for a family party having a family member
Living in village .
This all revolved around me using a wheelchair which was explained in detail over phone stating I could not transfers to a bath .
Apart from the above our room was not cleaned throughout the three days we stayed there and the soap in the dispenser had been so watered down it just landed in a puddle on the floor resulting in us having to buy our own soap along with toilet rolls which were not added to .
All in all is this not the 21st century . How much does it cost to remove a bath and install shower to make an accessible room when Travel Lodge are spending millions on upgrading some hotels but not Sedgefield

NUTSHELL! I've been a loyal Travelodge customer for 15+ years, I spend thousands of pounds every year with them, I have never smoked, never vaped, never caused any damage anywhere, never even had a parking ticket. You get the picture.

So imagine what I thought when CRS, the debt collecting bother boys of Travelodge, sent me a letter, out of the blue, last week saying I was being fined £150 for smoking damage that I had caused at Sedgefield. You'll gather , from the above, that I did not cause any damage. I complained to Travelodge who are sticking by their guns and are 'not changing their stance'. I've now gone to CRS to plead my case so we'll see where that goes. I've contacted the CEO and Marketing Directors of Travelodge, but do they even both to acknowledge me? I will not back down and implore you to avoid Travelodge. Whether they're targeting me due to a mistake or racism, I do not know, but I will not stand for it. DO NOT STAY AT TRAVELODGE. They make me sick with this.

Stayed whilst visiting family, had a great stay at Sedgefield checked in by the lovely Sharon who was very welcoming. Room was immaculate and smelled fresh, we needed extra towels for a late night shower as we'd used the ones provided so asked Nicole on the desk and she was more than happy to help and told us if we needed anything else just to pop down and see her. We wanted to go for breakfast the next morning so asked Ruth the morning receptionist for any recommendations and she gave us loads of options to choose from up in the village close by. Overall a lovely welcoming stay with friendly staff and a nice clean room

Stayed in a room at the back if the hotel. Peaceful and slept well all 3 nights with the windows closed. Take your own shower gel - the current batch looks and smells like pink disinfectant, I’ve stayed here before and would definitely stay here again,

We chose here purely for location as we were visiting friends less than a mile away. For room only the cost was quite expensive and ordinarily I would never book somewhere with no full English breakfast or bar facilities.
The room was quite dated, and a little unclean. There was dust behind the tv, tea stains down the wall, stained hand towel and the odd hair on the sink / bath. I didn’t complain as we spent very little time in the room and there was no one on reception to pass my comments onto as we checked out.
I would only stay here again if the price was a good rate.

The location of this lodge is so handy for anywhere near Hartlepool
The lodge is spotlessly clean and a joy to stay in it. I regret inadvertently advertising it as I hope it doesn't get too popular with the usual price rise!!

Amazing staff as always, we have made this gem of a place to stay our regular stop over when visiting family in surrounding area. The hotel needs an upgrade and could really do with modern touches like usb by the beds and sockets next to beds but the staff make up for this. Nothing is ever any trouble, so polite and extremely friendly. We will be back again and of course to have a meal at the Indian restaurant across the car park

Rooms are spacious but the location is a roadside service station. I had a room on the front with the window open overnight was quiet enough for me
