Stopped in here for dinner on a short break to the area. We were looking for somewhere to eat where we could bring our dog. Dogs are welcome in the first section of the bar area where there are three tables for diners. The menu was varied with options for vegetarians and our dog got a very warm welcome. We... More

Really accommodating team at the pub who went out of their way to support with a surprise 65th birthday party. The pub has a number of sections and is versatile meaning we had our own area which could be shut off but still with bar access. The landlady went over and above to source the right food at the right... More

Called in after walking out of another Greene king pub not far away in Barton where we stood for 10 minutes without any acknowledgement. Nice welcome by 2 young bar staff and friendly service. Food is certainly more upmarket than usual pub fare with a good choice catering for all needs and served piping hot with a smile . Also... More

Thank you for writing your review. With the recent change in weather, its sometimes difficult to keep on top of it but when the landlady asked you if everything had been alright and you told her you had been cold, it was the end of your visit and you were putting your coats on to leave. I will repeat what... More

I was booked in here, while on a work based course. Found it to be quirky and charmingly old world. I stayed 2 night. The room was comfortable enough and sutuated in the former stables. I managed a reasonable nights sleep duspute the venue being on cross roads for the local main roads. The only fault I found with the... More

I would happily stay here again if I was in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast (which you pre-order to be cooked at your chosen breakfast time) was good and filling. The staff are also friendly and welcoming.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Three Kings is a traditional village pub in a pretty small village just two miles from the market town of Bury St Edmunds. Our rooms are situated in a separate block to the rear of the pub, meaning that they can be accessed 24hrs a day without causing disturbance or having to stick to the pub opening times. The rooms all have ensuite facilities, trouser press, hairdryer, fridge and a tv with freeview channels. WiFi is available in the pub and is free of charge. Most of the rooms can pick up the wi-fi. The pub itself is friendly and serves lovely home cooked food. Dogs are welcome in a specific area in the bar and also in the rooms providing they are well behaved. ... more   less
