Location - great, just a 10 minute walk to the catherdral Room - they only have single or twin rooms which was a bit annoying for us as a couple. However it was a good price for 2 nights in the easter holidays and comfortable. Good night sleep. The bathroom could do with a bit of an update. Parking- there...

Spent two nights in The Black Boy pub on our recent visit to Bury, very pleasant olde world pub and B&B, short walk to most of the attractions and amenities in the town, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Parking at rear.

Centrally located and with on-site parking. Clean/warm/quiet room with shower - breakfast included in price! Stayed 2 nights 7/8th in Feb. 2017 in twin (5) room. Good all round budget value. Note: has large, but friendly, dog on premises.

I went as an over night stop over as I was on a company Christmas event. After lots of complications booking, as last minute.com thought they had spare room and they hadn't, I eventually got a room booked. The room was cold and dirty. They said the breakfast was at 8.30, I arrived at 8.40 and all they said was...

Went in to get a drink and play pool with three friends on a Sunday evening. Instantly rudely ID'd before even ordering a drink and told "you can't be here after nine" before even checking the ID (we were ages 20-22). Felt very unwelcome and were questioned how many games we would play before starting. Before even having been playing...

Nice comfortable room, very clean, great shower and loads of room! Lovely people and a nice dog, easy to get in and out of. Just did not get my breakfast was offered money back in recompense, which was a nice touch! Very quiet place considering its above a bar, even at closing time. Only issue is not easy to park...

Why didn't we stay here last year? I knew I would be late arriving so called ahead and was reassured it was no problem. Welcomed by a lovely lady who gave me my room key and assured me I didn't need to rush to get back for a pint. The pint may have been Strongbow but it was well kept....

I stay here every year for the August Bank Holiday weekend. I always get a warm welcome from Mark the landlord. The pub is a traditional one serving a wide selection of GK beers and lagers. Pool table and dartboard are a great bonus. The rooms are clean, basic and practical. As I am visiting for cricket tour I am...

The Black Boy Inn is what I would call a typical local pub, a little outside of the centre on a quieter road (which was barely audible most of the time and secondary glazing cut the noise out any other time). There was noise from the bar itself until 23:30 / 00:00 most nights but with it being a pub...
