I wanted a night away in Suffolk with the hubby and the dog. There were a few options, but decided on a Secret Escapes deal at Ravenwood Hall Hotel, which included a stay in a double room in the main house, a three course main meal that evening and breakfast the following morning. I think I made the right decision....

Having been told about Ravenwood Hall by friends we decided to book a short break. Nestled in the countryside with beautiful surroundings, Ravenwood Hall looks the part before you've even set foot inside. Some great artwork on every wall there is something to catch your eye wherever you are inside! With logs on the fire and a drink in hand...

Had a nice stay here pre-Valentines day. Booked via Secret escapes there was some confusion over check in times....but we sat in the bar and had drinks until the room was ready. Nice room .very quirky..called the .Deans room. It has a large comfortable bed and ensuite bathroom. Tea and coffee provided in the room .big fluffy towels. Dressing gowns...

I have stayed at this hotel on business several times now, in the main house and the annexe and have always found the staff helpful; attentive and obliging apart from this one time. I stayed in one of the annexe rooms and the décor was lovely and the room was clean however my problem on the first night stay was...

Stayed last night, room was large comfortable and cosy. Staff were very friendly and suitably attentive. Food was outstanding and the decor was "country house" and the snug with a log fire was perfect for pre-dinner drinks. We will be back !

a very friendly welcome into a really lovely, cosy old building. It has everything that a beautiful, listed country hall can offer. That said, aspects of staffing left something to be desired, which rather let down the excellent ambience. The owner, Craig Jarvis, has done a fantastic job but it kind of feels that some of the early days vigour...

The location of the hotel is lovely and the building has a history which began during the reign of Henry VIII. There are plenty of ornately carved oak structures and rare sixteenth century wall paintings. It is quite quaint with some sloping floors particularly in our bedroom. All the staff were attentive and friendly. The bedroom was nice with a...

We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. This time it was a lovely room, clean, tidy, good bed linen and large fluffy towels. The lounge area appears to have items, chairs that are in need of repair. Sadly this time the food was not so good but was dealt with by the hotel there and then which reflected...

Perfect for a winter business overnight stay. Hotel is a bit out of town but has all you need; easy to find, good room, food and probably the best internet connection I've experienced in a hotel. My room was in the hotel so I can't comment on those in the annexe. Beautiful grounds which I expect would be amazing in...

A pleasing hotel. We had a lovely relaxinging stay, made even better by the fact that we could take our little dog and stay in a superior room. We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast option. We enjoyed our dinner and a good selection is offered to choose from for breakfast. Good friendly service too!. My only, hopefully positive criticism,...
