My husband and I travelled with our married daughter during November 2016 to visit friends who live in Bury St Edmunds. Drinkstone Park B & B was perfect for our needs ..... From the warm welcome ( which came with home made scones and coffee ) to the comfortable rooms to the freshly cooked breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble...

It was a pleasure to have you here, we do enjoy what we do and endeavour to make our guests feel at home. I often say to some of our regular guests 'Your not paying a bill your making a contribution to the upkeep of your country home' That's how it often feels which is nice. Thank you for sharing...

The three of us enjoyed our stay very much indeed, not least because of the hospitality and care shown by Michael and his wife. There is something magical about Drinkstone Park, and we and our friends hope to return before long. Breakfasts, accommodation and facilities are all excellent.

"There is something magical about Drinkstone Park" I quite agree! When I bought it long before the bed and breakfast started itself (yes started itself) I had decided to go ahead just by driving onto the land. Of course over the years we have developed the gardens and changed much of the house, the magic for us is still here....

The breakfast was absolutely incredible. You don't get asked whether you would like tea or coffee at breakfast time. You are asked HOW you like it. Needless to say, my coffee was excellent. The breakfast menu was incredible. It is worth staying at this place for the breakfast alone. The only downside was the fact that the owners have a...

So pleased that you enjoyed breakfast, it is of course unfortunate that your husband is not a fan of dogs. We did have one lady stay who was not only not a fan of dogs but frightened of them! On her third day here as she was stroking Tegan, a large very friendly German Shepherd, she said ' my daughter...

Ive stayed here a couple of times now, the house and gardens provide fabulous surroundings and the hosts and very good at what they do. The location makes it accessible yet hidden in the Suffolk countryside and the perfect base for exploring,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us, I think we are probably only good at what we do because we enjoy it, its easy to be good at what you enjoy. We have had a few changes to the house recently and as you know the gardens are always evolving. We look forward to seeing you...

Beautiful location, clean, comfortable...... what more can you ask for in a B&B? Michael and Christine always make guests very welcome and it is the little touches that keep guests coming back. The location is concenient for anyone visiting the Bury ST Edmunds area which is, in itself, a delight.

We have both lived in Suffolk all our lives and until the B and B started itself we had not realised how central we are! Not only to historic Bury St Edmunds but the East Coast, Cambridge, Norwich and not least a short drive to Lavenham and Constable country. Many thanks for your kind review and we look forward to...

ideal place to relax and enjoy the spirit and lifestyle of the English countryside. In a quiet corner of the countryside, with magnificent garden, the house offers a warm hospitality. The rooms are perfectly appointed and very rich and varied breakfast. The managers are always attentive to guests' needs.

We spent four days at Drinkstone Park and loved the whole experience. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. Breakfast was again up to a very high standard and the choice of food was could not be faulted. After having breakfast we enjoyed strolling through the gardens and enjoying the varieties of plants, the gardens...

Excellent! We look forward to seeing you again. There are some changes to the garden, as always, this year we are having a Victorian style greenhouse built and will be developing the garden area around this, hopefully you will enjoy this and find the time to relax again in the gardens. It does look like being a very busy year...

Beautiful gardens, well appointed rooms, an extensive breakfast menu cooked to perfection, welcoming friendly hosts and pets.So much more than your regular B&B. Welcomed with a cream tea served in my lovely room. Service over and above. Left completely recharged with a car full of stunning Delphiniums. I only hesitate to recommend this wonderful place because it may mean it...

Our pleasure and we very much hope you will return! Hope the Delphiniums are doing well, early yet but they will soon be coming through. As we may have told you Christine's late father was the keeper of the National Collection of Delphiniums and also gooseberries. One of the delphiniums in our gardens is in fact named after Christine.

A warm welcome from Michael and Christine followed by a very welcome pot of tea. Homemade scones were offered but we were meeting friends for dinner. Based on the wonderful home cooked breakfast I am sure they would've been delicious. Michael and Christine have thought of everything to make guests as welcome and comfortable as possible. Nothing is too much...

“The bathroom has a shower but no bath. There is a sofa for sitting and watching tv, which made the room lend itself way to people staying for more than one night. Our room was downstairs. I imagine that the upstairs room would have a better view of the garden.”
