We confirmed a booking in early June with a £50 deposit already paid. We arrived on the 15th September after a 5 hour journey to find that the hosts had no record of our booking and were due to leave for France later that night. Their subsequent apologising email confirmed that they did have an email confirmation. It was an...

Thank you for your review and I totally agologise for our oversite of your booking which you made in June. Dominic did speak to you on your arrival and hugely apologised followed by his email. I normally speak/email our guests a day or two before their arrival but in the business of preparing to go out to France I must...

We received a very friendly welcome from Lucy and her husband Dominic and we were offered a very welcome cup of tea or coffee and cake! The pretty thatched house and interesting garden in a rural setting was very relaxing and we certainly slept well. We stayed in the Indian Room which was colourful and very comfortable with a large...

We wish we could have stayed longer. Dom and Lucy gave us the warmest of welcomes. Our room (the Indian Room) was a delight with views over their stunning garden. A most beautifully dressed and comfortable bed, charming en suite, paintings, textiles, interesting books together with even more thoughtful touches - flowers from the garden, iced water and a jug...

Refreshingly, Lucy is a maximalist...
