Stayed here for one night and was expecting great things from the look of the beautiful building and its position in Long Melford. Check in was fine - the gentleman who attended to us was engaging and friendly, however I was immediately disappointed with the decor; carpets worn and tired. We made our way to our room and I was...

Second time we have stayed at the Bull. Pleasant room and good food. Excellent service from the staff and a very nice welcome from the receptionist when we first arrived. Breakfast is well prepared and always a pleasant good morning from staff.

We attended a Wake and stayed overnight and left the next morning so didn't have the opportunity to check on all the facilities, The Wake food was okay and plenty of it, people had to sit in two rooms as one room was not big enough. The Bar seemed to cope although amazingly not many were drinking alcohol, we were!...

My wife and I stay the Bull quite regularly and we have always found the staff excellent, the adverse comments that some guests make about the lack of staff and slow delivery of meals etc is down to keeping costs down so that these lovely old hotels can survive and particular it's an known fact that the prices charged from...

We stayed at the Bull for a weekend Treat to ourselves. The hotel room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were lovely. Only one disappointment and that was at breakfast. I ordered kippers and expected a fresh kipper but it was the boil in the bag variety. Other than that we had a lovely weekend and would...

Our friends suggested this hotel for a Saturday lunch and it had been recommended to them . On our arrival ,it was rather manic and packed out. To place an order you had to go too the bar, as there was only one member of staff on duty there. Having placed your drinks order you then had to take them...

Visited The Bull for a late Sunday lunch! Very disappointing! Waited an hour before our food was served and when it arrived, it was tepid! The food itself was tasty, but what was stated on the menu was not on the plate! The staff were very apologetic blaming Head Office for taking "on line" bookings and being busy! If this...

My room (a single) was clean spacious with plenty of towels, hot water heating ect. Food was excellent, but most of all, the staff were amazing. Professional at every level and nothing was too much trouble. First class service at an affordable venue. Would definitely recommend.
